Anyone on here alive when we last scored four?? Would that have been Shrewsbury away last season? I seem to recall Southend home December 2019 but the football was sh** under that manager. |

What a fantastic performance so far really happy with that.
We actually look like a decent English league 1 side rather than a poor Spanish 4th division side.
Loving the fight for the 50/50 balls and the higher tempo in our play, it’s the most I’ve enjoyed watching us since the Sunderland game we won 2-0 right before Lockdown when Tony Craig was in charge.

Westbrooke not playing which will hopefully mean we move the ball a bit quicker. No doubt he’s a very good player but he does frustrate me when he has opportunities to play a forward through ball and goes backwards. Certainly haven’t played slow tempo and we look much better for it. |

Much more intent about us tonight we look dangerous going forward, wing backs playing much higher which they've exploited a few times & got in behind. Scored 2 good goals and could have had a couple more, still look like conceding though and the goal was another poor one. Acres of space for the scorer but JVS had to come out and meet him, stayed still and made the chance a lot easier than it could have been. All in all much better so far but need to be tighter at the back

Much sharper in the final third. Hanlon having a great game with good support from Nicholson and Daly.
Wing backs getting forward and creating thankfully.
Good to see the ever purposeful Upson returning.
JvS and Harries did themselves few favours in the new manager elect assessments.
Commentator is a dick.
