The most concerning thing is an ankle injury could prove to be a long term recurring issue for Hanlan, seen it happen before.
Doesn’t sound like Ayunga is anywhere near returning either, wish you could emergency loan a striker like you can with a goalkeeper.

Fans were ringing radio Bristol weeks ago saying ' no strikers on bench ' . This was before transfer deadline .
What did garner do ??. Sign a 4th left back and 11th midfielder approved by the board...

Um, some of us highlighted this possibility during the transfer window (learn the Lambo lesson), so we've made our bed by continuing to give BG the reigns, selling jch with no recognised replacement and now we've got to lie in it. Probably in the wet patch.
It's a mess.
Let's hope some one steps up and starts to score. Regularly. Or, I'm afraid we've seen evidence before how it will end..

From the season's start people have complained that this large unbalanced squad contained more left backs than strikers. Now all strikers injured. Brilliant forward planning.

Surely there must be some out of contract strikers around? Absolutely there will be but are we even allowed to bring one in ? If I understand the rules correctly (and I hope I dont) even if we have enough room in the budget we cant change the squad list we've nominated until Jan. I think our only option is to recall one of the youngsters out on loan who are 2 young to qualify for the list. Anyone know if I've got that correct ? |

Ayunga out for two months plus now what a bloody nonsense ... Now Hanlan out.
Daly will be back on Sunday chasing long high balls pumped up to him by the panicked defence.

I also don't understand how someone in the professional game (our recruitment team) can't see that needed an experience striker or even 2!

What's Blissett doing these days? Maybe they tried? I guess good, experienced strikers are difficult to come by. In defence of the club, buying Hanlan as a JCH replacement was OK for me and he has done well - its unlucky that Ayunga is injured at the same time. |
