Many rejoiced at BG's 'best ever recruitment'.Yet to be convinced as we are so feeble. I think many could see that the players were talented, but most if not all were worried that the recruitment was effectively creating a 'Premier League U23 or U21' squad with insufficient strength, leadership etc to work in League 1. Our 4-3 win over Chelsea U21's showed what we really are - a squad suited to tippy tappy Development football |

This is poor. We are so lightweight it’s scary. Average teams are able to bully us and we have no grit or mental strength. I really do think we might be witnessing a relegation season. And if the Teds go up that would be disastrous! Hope Tisdale can see a way of getting some fight into this squad or we are going into League 2. Spot on - teams are bullying us. No fight, no steel, no-one on the pitch being vocal - all too nicey nicey. I wanted BG to succeed but his recruitment left us with no plan B all tippy tappy stuff. Maybe we need to convert one of the centre half's into a temporary striker to give a bit of a physical presence in the opposition box. |

Josh Grant lackadaisical twice in a minute leading up to that goal. How has he played every minute? Completely agree. On his heels not competing for the ball in their box then just stood there and watched the Gillingham player make his run. Offers nothing in possession either - been hugely underwhelming in my opinion so far this season. Of course, he's not the only one... He’s not the only one but he’s a pedestrian ball watcher who’s scared to get stuck in. And to think we’ve replaced the tough experienced ball winner Ogogo with that pile of crap beggars belief. |

We are in real trouble. Insufficient steel and leadership in the squad to survive in a tough league without some good recruitment in January. Hope we're not too far adrift of safety before that can be achieved Problem is our squad is so big we are going to have to try and get rid of a few before we can bring anyone in. Nobody is going to want to take anyone of our hands! Our new Director of Football who is heavily involved in recruitment seems to have got a way with any criticism, yet we have a completely imbalanced squad. We we will need to get players out in January but surely he can see what we are missing? |

What tripe .. PT had three very winnable first games ... four if you think of Saturdays opponents .. We look very very poor! Hard to see where the next League win is coming from.. Scary to think we still haven't scoreed in the league since he came in either - all against teams in and around relegation. God help us. Not helped by never having a striker to call upon from the bench. |

I'm funny? This was your post defending Garner when we had about an 8% win rate. Usual poisonous short sighted morons on here calling for his head and embarrassingly still going on about we were 4th for a couple of weeks last season. He came in to a team of wrongful signings that managed to get some results mainly down to anssi and jch having blinding performances and a lot of luck and shocking football which was never sustainable and garner wants to play football, the sort of attractive football that is sustainable and the sort of football which would bring back the crowds to the mem which was on a big decline even when we were 4TH!!!! He’s brought in with his back room staff our best signings in a very long time on the plan of playing football and his experience of coaching in the premiership etc which previous managers wouldn’t have got over the line.. They need time to gel and if it takes 2 seasons to get play offs and long term gashead like myself or intelligent level headed gashead would bite their hand off. These idiots and it’s always the same ones on here with nothing better to do saying “how long do we give him?” We give him as long as the board gives him. These people are the cancer of modern day football fans. If it’s not instant (with the players he’s brought in) they think the more you say it on social media you have enough power to sack someone!!! It’s embarrassing. We aren’t Sunderland or Ipswich with big pockets and championship facilities and we’re so far off league one mid table for that. We haven’t got loads of money to buy Our way out of this league so we need to have a decent plan going forward which is buy young prospects and in a year of being together coach them to top 6 players. I wasn’t expecting a point from our first two games and we get one at Sunderland (but apparently that’s only because Sunderland we’re so bad according to the usual muppets on here), We lost to Ipswich, move on and get behind the team and see we have prospects playing for us and a manager trying to play the right way. Any manager taking on a team with one fit striker is self destruct button. We all said this will happen 6 weeks ago and garner was allowed to bring in another midfielder and left back.
Chippenham got 5 strikers and signed one on loan from us as cover. Poor tisdale must be wondering what he taken on. Garner should of been supervised from higher up the chain. Totally in balanced side ...

One of life’s dickhead It was after 20 odd games not 2 games and if we're going by how we judged Garner then maybe we should wait until he gets his own staff in, gets his own players in, we'll then give him at least 10 games so his players can gel. We'll then let him sign some more players in the summer and give him another 10 games as it's only fair 🙄 if it starts badly after a few games we can forget all the games form the previous season and say he's only managed 2 games!! |
