Just typical. Having watched every match so far this season I found myself in A&E today and missed the game. What have I done to deserve that, but now to wade thro 21 pages of superlatives for the amazing PT to get the story. By the way tge doctor said I will live Hope you're ok, all the best! Thanks. Probably a T.I.A. I asked the doctor if I will live to sit in our new stadium.

Didn't watch the gametoday, but it seems like we played 442. My wife, who states she is a "mere woman" has insisted for a long time that when we play this way we win. Greatresult. Sign of the times when you have to point out that your wife is a woman ... Was it 442 ? I’d say 4-5-1 Or 4231 with interchanging midfielders, impossible to say what position Westbrook otzumer and Nicholson were playing exactly but attacking midfield rather than striker with grant and Upson slightly further back was how I saw it ? My wife’s is a woman too so all good. ( and she’s not my sister , I’m not a shithead.)

It’s about having the ball and doing something positive with it, attacking, running at the opposition with team mates looking for space to run into to give options. That’s why I like Tis post match interviews, he knows it’s about wanting t9 play forward with a positive approach. Not passing around to no effect. Teams soon sort you out if you do that. UTG!

We played a diamond: __________Upson _Westbrooke____Grant _________Oztumer ____Nicholson__Hanlan But with lots of rotation and interchanging of positions from most. Superb stuff!

If Pep was managing he'd say a fluid 4-3-3 with Oztumer as a false 9!

A very good win that.... We all wanted the win obviously, but more so we wanted the performance....
Let's not get ahead of ourselves, we have a massive hill still to climb....

Thanks. Probably a T.I.A. I asked the doctor if I will live to sit in our new stadium. T.I.A? Transient Ischaemic Attack - like a mini-stroke, I think?

Great to see players closing down the opposition as soon as we lost possession - makes a massive difference. And the two spells when we kept possession for about 2 minutes - longer I think than I have ever seen us do that in memory! How Oztumer kept hold of the ball in tight situations was magical at times - and his backward headed assist for Nicholson's second goal was top class. Is he allowed to play against Charlton?

I have to say, I didn't realise how depressed I was with Rovers until yesterday afternoon. Even on Wednesday when I thought we'd win, I wasn't excited about the match at all, I've just found it really hard to 'bond' with this squad, especially not being able to go. Since GC left, watching Rovers has been a bit of a chore for me.
But yesterday afternoon was the first time in a while I felt positive about Rovers. Don't get me wrong, of course delighted what Wael has done wiping off the debt, building the TG & investing in the squad - but none of it made me 'excited'. I guess it just shows that no matter what happens off the pitch, it's the football why we all love this club and yesterday was the most enjoyable game I've seen since Ipswich away.
Long may that continue, thought we were excellent yesterday - genuinely can't wait for Plymouth next week now

All down to a couple of key decisions 1) PT instructions to go and do what your good at to the team 2) Jesters decision to start match day thread!! Also did you notice the determination on the faces of the squad in response to going behind to a very dodgy pen? it's in those circumstances when heads can drop , but it had the opposite effect v Wombles, exactly what we need.

If Pep was managing he'd say a fluid 4-3-3 with Oztumer as a false 9! Just looking at the stats from the game yesterday Oztumers passing accuracy in their final third was 85% that’s bloody good going. I thought he was fantastic yesterday and is starting to look more like the player I remember at Walsall.
