Looking at the fixtures. Peterboroughs game with Charlton on that day is also cancelled due to covid within the Peterborough camp. Meaning our cancelled game against Charlton should be easily slotted into that game week without effecting anyone else.

Hey Shaggy, what’s happened to Scooby he hadn’t posted on here for ages? Don't know, sorry. Maybe he is having a lie down after eating too many Scooby snacks? Oh well, I hope he’s okay?

Is that 4 games in hand for us now? Really can’t see how the season can continue if it stays like this!

Funny how it all seems to be leagues 1, 2 & national leagues. This just highlights the lack of testing in my eyes for the lower leagues, as the prem & the championship don’t seem to be affected too much? Test regularly and if you find a case and isolate them quickly you have a much better chance of keeping it out of the rest of the squad. I suppose this is just purely down to money. 😤

Since their main function is player welfare why have they not helped their members in leagues 1 & 2 by funding their regular testing?

The way the virus is spreading so quickly it is becoming a real possibility that this season will not be completed on the pitch. If so, the debate starts to concern whether relegation and promotion are realistically possible.

Writing the season off as void would be crap but then PPG wouldn’t be fair as nobody has played everyone yet. It’s a tough one.

If it came to that, I would rather the season was just indefinitely postponed, rather than voiding it. I most certainly would not go for the PPG as nobody has played enough games for that to be a valid option.

7 games out of 12 in league 1 tomorrow postponed. This is going from the sublime to the ridiculous. We'll have to extend the season just to accommodate all the EFL investigations into the postponements never mind rescheduling all the matches!!

PPG is ok to use in March perhaps to arrange relegation and promotion. Although Tranmere and Posh might not agree. But you can’t do it in December/January, it’s far too early. Season would need to be cancelled and that would probably still throw up the same arguments from clubs at the top on missing out on promotion.
Trouble is you’d have to do it for the whole EFL and as the Championship hasn’t been that badly affected I can’t see that happening. What would you do? Play the Championship to its end and just say there will be no relegation because there are effectively no places for the bottom Championship clubs to fill because League 1 was abandoned?
Can’t see any of that happening unless it’s a government directive, so we’ll limp through this season playing two games a week at least. Big squad needed I’d say.
UTG!

Are we looking at a season worse than when we had the big freeze. That season games were all played and unless the situation gets considerably worse I foresee us playing to a conclusion or a unified approach from all leagues to curtail the season on PPG
