Two evenly balanced side, both teams put in a real shift, good to watch. We are still a bit error prone and rode our luck at time but then so did they. Well done...3 much needed points. UTG

A bit nervy at the end but for the most part we defended very well 2nd half. Plenty to be positive about after today, we've created a decent number of chances and picked up a well earned 3 points. A couple of weeks to our next league game now, hopefully bring in a bit of help for Hanlan before then although the way we attacked 2nd half it would be harsh to leave anyone out.

P.T turned club around in a few weeks . 3 out of 4 in division games and still in two cups. The Garner model would have sent us back to division two and beyond. There's no way we would have got a point today, under Garner.

PHEW! very entertaining but not good for my heart, how second half stayed goalless goodness knows! Started well ,awful Leahy error leading to there goal and period when Blackpool could have been out of sight before we scored. Two superb Rovers goals and 15 mins in second half when we could and should have put game to bed, last 30 mins backs to the wall and Blackpool wasteful! To sum up we looked creative with the ball but left huge gaps on both flanks for them to exploit and they should have done better with the space we gave them, some great individual performances littered with school boy errors, interesting non use of subs by Tis but vital 3 points, sure Tis knows what we need by now , praise for our much maligned G/K and Alfie getting back to his best. Happy New Year to all . PS interesting prematch piece by club. Yeah we certainly allowed them chances in that game. When you rely on their player to miss when unmarked 7 yards out in the dying seconds for 3 points you know it was close. Great 3 points and that puts us comfortably above the bottom four in the PPG table which I think is probably the most important table to be looking at for now.

Bit like your judgement. Is he as sh**e as that other striker you wrote off - I think his name was Matty Taylor.

I thought Westbrook showed some absolute quality today. His close control and footwork was a joy to watch. On the flip side both full backs were utter garbage. When leahey failed to lump it forward at the end almost costing us the 3 points I could have exploded. Well done gas the most entertaining home league match I’ve seen in a quite a while.

Thought McCormick also deserved a mention for how he got stuck in near the end, just a pity Westbrook didn't follow is example. Pretty sure Leahy wasn't helped by being totally exposed on the left flank. Yes, I thought McCormick was MOM today. Absolutley battled throughout the game with an attitude epitomised by his three challenges in close proximity in the second half, which on each challenge, could have earned him a booking if he had connected with the opposition player, but finally won the ball on his third challenge. In the first half at least, we played with a midfield three - Westbrooke on the Left, Upson, then McCormick on the right, not the defensive two of the 4-2-3-1 that I was expecting (Commentary said that was how we were playing second half though). McCormick was often seen covering a defender's position when they had gone forward and in the first half he was the last defender making a crucial headed clearance. He seems everywhere though, without neglecting his defensive work, he is just as likely to be found in or around the opposition box. Unlucky perhaps, not to have been awarded a penalty. Obviously here to learn his trade, and learn from his mistakes at our level, but a great player in my opinion. UTG!

He’s scored 8 goals this season and works his socks off hardly sh**e. You're talking to someone who made a career out of slagging of Matty Taylor. I left school at 15 years of age in 1972 and made a career in the Print Industry. I slagged Twatty Maylor off for 2/3 years. Get your facts correct please.

PNE tracking Kilgour apparently But he's not a cripple like the last one we sold to um That’s a tad harsh on a player who did extremely well for us.
