I remember a Guardian article from a few months ago where they warned of the dire consequences if the UK didn’t join the EU procurement programme for Covid vaccines, saying we would be squeezed out and unable to buy vaccines when they were licensed. Just remind me how that’s turned out, will you? Deflection much. We have done well on the vaccine front (shame about the rest of it) but the vaccine isnt a BREXIT issue The vaccine isnt going to help British business trade inside the EU or reduce the costs is it? No deflection at all. I believe we have vaccinated more people than the EU combined. If we hadn’t have been in the process of leaving the EU we would have been compelled to remain in the EMR, which means we would have been unable to procure the amounts of vaccine we have, and would be operating a pathetic regime like the EU is now. And guess what, yourself and the rest of your one-eyed Remainer buddies on here would have been laying the blame squarely at the governments door. Theres a very interesting article in today’s Telegraph, can’t post it because it’s behind a paywall, but it’s basically saying how the EU is acting like a playground bully over Brexit and the author, inclined towards remaining at first, now realises that we did the right thing in leaving. Theres more rejoicing in Heaven....

What about HMRC fining truckers because of the nasty EU backing everything up?

Theres more rejoicing in Heaven.... Totally untrue. It doesnt help polite debate by peddling this nonsense. We, along with all members of the EU at the time we approved the Pfizer vaccine could and did so under something called emergency measures. Which is what we did and the government stated so, quoting the very same emergency measures. This happened whilst we still operating within our membership of the EU.

You’re living in an EU dream world. EU good, independent UK bad. It would be good if you acknowledged the UK government for having had the good sense to go it alone regarding the vaccination programme.

Next ? If you were to read my post properly you will see I credited the author with being inclined to Remain in the first instance. Also, you can’t compare the stance of the Telegraph with that of the Guardian, C4 etc etc. Totally different animals. Well done, you’ve managed to respond to one of my posts without veiled threat of violence or insult. You're obviously trying very hard.

What the government did well was to not be risk adverse and took a punt on the Oxford vaccine. By pre-ordering so much of it, before they even knew it would work, kept the price down and gave confidence to Astra Zeneca to put the vaccine into production. Nothing to do with being in or out of the EU.

Because they report views you agree with. Unlike those horrid liberal lefties.

You appear to be a Remainer. EU good, independent Britain bad.

Dont think so as we would all be entitled to do that after every election. On this subject it would be interesting to know what the actual issues are and where are they occurring, is it just teething problems due to incorrect paperwork or shortage of Vets,I can't believe it's not solvable although for the life of me I can't see why vets are involved in the process.

ITs been reported that the Scottish govt have been less than helpful in assisting these fish exporters with the new regs. Instead of driving all the way to Westminster they should have parked up outside of Holyrood and asked their own govt to pull their fingers out.
