Must be the first time I can remember, not 1 forward named in the starting 11 Wigan a few weeks back?

Pretty sure we played with no strikers against Wigan this season. My Guess is Hanlan isn't 100% so Tis doesn't want to risk Ayunga from the off. We've got 2 young strikers out on loan at Cardiff Met Uni. The Cymru Premier League is suspended at the moment, so I wonder if they can be recalled?

Looking forward to this, dunno why but it feels like a ‘bigger’ game than it should be given its in the EFL trophy. Big chance for the likes of Kelly, Rodman, Barrett, Koiki and Harries to force their way into Tisdale’s plans. UTG. It feels like that to me too. I reckon it’s because so much that we’ve always enjoyed can no longer be enjoyed so we’re getting excited about watching our fringe players take on another league 1 clubs fringe players in the shitfest cup that until a year ago most didn’t care about one bit. Strange times.

No strikers starting - I doubt that there will be many goals scored by the Rovers tonight

We must be looking to get in at least one striker on loan if nothing else. Do we need to shift anyone out first due to squad size limitations?

Buzzing about seeing Abu Ogogo in the quarters again. Was something I wasn't expecting to see. A player whose namer I love to see on the team sheet

The fact they are playing at Cardiff Met level hardly suggests they are up to L1 level? We're really paying the price for BG's\TW's bizarre recruitments in the summer. If was Tis I'd have kept Ayunga back for tonight's game and started with Rodman on Saturday.

Can’t get my head around that team - worse side we could have put out ? As I posted yesterday on the other Wombles thread - We have a really tough run of league games after tomorrow (i.e. tonight now) to the end of the month:
Sat Charlton at Home Tue Crewe Away Sat Oxford Away Tue Peterborough Away Sat Rochdale Home Then the first Sat in Feb - Fleetwood Away
We could be in real trouble after those 6 games (4 Away) without key players, and if the league gets chopped and decisions over relegation etc done on ppg.I can see the sense here, don't risk anyone with the slightest knock and have a look at a number of the squad in a proper competitive game. The next few weeks are vital on and off the pitch - we need at least one striker, a right back and possibly another battler for the midfield.

Will be good to see how Ogogo and Grant get on together. Looking forward to seeing Ogogo again he bossed the midfield Under Coughlan in many matches hopefully he can do the same for Tisdale. UTG. A Myth

Seems strange seeing Ogogo playing alongside another midfielder wearing the number 4.

No recognised striker in the starting 11 but Rodman is good in the air and has an eye for goal , out of those players I’d say he’s most likely to be in the centre. Rodders played up front in an earlier career

I like that from Day, confident goalkeeping to relieve pressure.
