Tisdale getting exactly what he deserves with this staring 11 and formation I’m afraid.
He set up to stifle the game and turn it in to a sh** game of football and hopefully scrape a draw.

I do not know on what Universe our manager thought the formation and team he selected could possibly win this game. The same universe in which his predecessor thought it was a good idea to clear out all bar one striker who didn't have a league goal to his name, and add to it only a conference south player and a forward who hasn't got rep for scoring goals. PTs selections are forced by Garners sh** summer recruitment. Don't forget the person in charge of recruitment was promoted and given a place on the Board! |

Appreciate the struggle Tis has with poor quality on the bench but I would definitely prefer to see players playing in natural positions in the second half!

Start of the season when fans were moaning about Grant I was happy to give him time but tbh I can now see where they are coming from.
His passing is poor but if he was closing teams down and getting tackles in to break up play then you could say he is doing his job but when the ball comes toward our box where as our other players are trying to close down he seems to be lost and just strolling around.

Garner still being here at the start of the season was a monumental error which the recruitment has doubled down on. I do have some sympathy for Tisdale, but some of what we are seeing from him is in line with what the Exeter and MK Dons fans warned us about. If I was in charge I’d be sorely tempted to phone Cogs up right now and ask him to name his price to kick this lot into shape and keep us up at all costs. We’ve become an utter shambles since he left and it wateres me off because it was all so avoidable. |

What a terrible performance 1st half defensively..... we’ve had 7 defensive players on the pitch and we just don’t look like we can defend... caught ball watching for the 1st and slightly unlucky deflection for the 2nd otherwise Day would have saved it although he should never have been given that much space to just run and shoot....
Hopefully we come out better in the 2nd half after Tis has given them a rocket.....

It reminds me of watching a Garner team again, a five at the back which is clearly not working, Grant and Westbrooke not having much luck through the middle, Hanlan isolated up top.
It’s a completely bleak outlook for Rovers at the moment, second least amount of goals scored in the league, a leaky defence. Yes, some nice spells and Hanlan has impressed but we aren’t converting that into sustained pressure or clear cut chances.
Tisdale’s team talk at half time better be inspiring if we want to turn this around.

Should have gone 4231 with
Upson and Ogogo as def mids
Tutonda Rodman and Mc cormick att mids
Hanlan up front.
It would give us pace width and creativity the three things this starting 11 / formation hasn’t got.
I’m really concerned about Tisdale after the decisions he’s made here.
Wtf was he thinking ?

We have actually been the better side but with loads of defenders in there we still can't defend or even mark players. It is depressing to watch our defending and if it isn't sorted out we will go down as Crewe have only created three chances and scored with two of them and one off the line. Personally feel we could get rid o9f nearly all the full backs we have as they are all useless. We are in such a poor position that it is hard to see who would want to sign for us as regards goalscorers.

Don’t want to bash PT but has he really improved anything? I know we have injuries etc but the teams he put out always seem unbalanced and there is no more fight then when BG was here. I don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel at the minute. There have definately been better performances since he took over, but some bad ones too. Risk of getting into a rut here. We just have to hope that things improve when we've got Nicho, Oz and another striker in |

The most annoying part of that half is that we havent played too badly in possession we've just been pretty awful whenever they've got within 30 yards of our goal, 2 more dreadful goals given away.
I dont understand playing with wing backs and then having Koiki and Little (or Rodman) sat on the bench. I'm a fan of Leahy but if we're setting up that way surely we'd be better balanced with players used to playing as wing backs.
We've shown enough to suggest we have a goal or 2 in us but I'm not at all confident that Crewe wont score again

The only hat trick he's likely to get is a big mac, quarter pounder and 20 mcnuggets. GGMI ..... have you ever thought about just supporting the player?. He’s not that big, has a decent pass and touch and whilst is a bigger build than some other players - he does have strength and wants the ball and tries to get us playing.... give the bloke a chance.... Jan Molby was big but he seemed to have a decent career? |

Undoubtedly there is a time and a place for Tisdale but I doubt it’s 2-0 down at half time on a wet Tuesday night in some northern hell hole. |
