The only hat trick he's likely to get is a big mac, quarter pounder and 20 mcnuggets. GGMI ..... have you ever thought about just supporting the player?. He’s not that big, has a decent pass and touch and whilst is a bigger build than some other players - he does have strength and wants the ball and tries to get us playing.... give the bloke a chance.... Jan Molby was big but he seemed to have a decent career? Just bants. I hope he does well but I've seen nothing to convince me yet. We can't do much worse tonight though so worth a shot.

We have actually been the better side but with loads of defenders in there we still can't defend or even mark players. It is depressing to watch our defending and if it isn't sorted out we will go down as Crewe have only created three chances and scored with two of them and one off the line. Personally feel we could get rid o9f nearly all the full backs we have as they are all useless. We are in such a poor position that it is hard to see who would want to sign for us as regards goalscorers. Any we offered £'s and a starting position to probably? Although at the moment RB is the issue, if we could defend it would be 0-0 with Hanlan looking like he might score. As it is it is probably game over, although Crewe did throw away a 3-0 lead recently.

Start of the season when fans were moaning about Grant I was happy to give him time but tbh I can now see where they are coming from. His passing is poor but if he was closing teams down and getting tackles in to break up play then you could say he is doing his job but when the ball comes toward our box where as our other players are trying to close down he seems to be lost and just strolling around. Pedestrian ball watcher and that’s being kind, been saying it all season and I’ve been really hoping he’d shut me up. Westbrooke the same, got a decent pass but not interested in doing anything else, bottles tackles etc. Upsons legs have gone and was never that great anyway. Mc Cormick better than the rest of our centre midfielders put together and he’s a kid on loan from Chelsea.

I would go with rodders up front, alongside Hanlon he played there many years ago. He can head the ball, shhot and beat up man

The big surprise for this game is the formation, why did Tisdale go with the 3 at the back with wing backs either side? It failed under Garner why would it work now, they're still the same players - they cannot play this system.
It's surprising because he hasn't favoured this formation at all. Go back to 442 for the second half.

Nonsense,it was a decent chance of getting a shot on target But he didn't have all the time and space, he had a split second to put in a shot. Nonsense. It was a poor effort. From a poor player.

The most annoying part of that half is that we havent played too badly in possession we've just been pretty awful whenever they've got within 30 yards of our goal, 2 more dreadful goals given away. I dont understand playing with wing backs and then having Koiki and Little sat on the bench. I'm a fan of Leahy but if we're setting up that way surely we'd be better balanced with players used to playing as wing backs. We've shown enough to suggest we have a goal or 2 in us but I'm not at all confident that Crewe wont score again Leahy is a full back not a wing-back Hare is a wing-back not a full-back Ehmer is neither Tutonda and Koki have pace but lack experience Little is a right back sat on the bench and might as well stayed at home, can't imagine he wants to be doing that unless he is unfit? I always remeber Sir Alex being asked about the best way to defend and he said consistency don't change the back 5 unless you have to!

The only hat trick he's likely to get is a big mac, quarter pounder and 20 mcnuggets. I'm not going to bother copy and pasting your quote from the Josh Barrett thread. You went on about issues people may have with weight and mental health and then you post this about his food hat trick 😡 If no one has seen the Freddie Flintoff documentary about his bulimia I'd recommend it as a must see. Edit:- your later post 'Just bants.' Bants when you say something but offensive when others do the same

The same universe in which his predecessor thought it was a good idea to clear out all bar one striker who didn't have a league goal to his name, and add to it only a conference south player and a forward who hasn't got rep for scoring goals. PTs selections are forced by Garners sh** summer recruitment. Don't forget the person in charge of recruitment was promoted and given a place on the Board! I agree and Sir Tommy effectively got a knighthood for his efforts.

I second this, we could and should be at least three or four nil down. We've had one free kick on target and a 'shot' from grant that sailed harmlessly wide - have we created anything else of note? Let's hope he's put a rocket up them at half time.

Go back to 442 for the second half. Perhaps poor scouting reports, as mentioned earlier in this thread, are the reason. Maybe PT thought it would counter/stifle Crewe. What is depressing though is that when, after about 5 or 10 minutes, it clearly wasn't working he didn't change it.

Playing better than we did v charlton. Done by our defence again. Still see something in this for us, glad Upton is off the pitch and hopefully he’s played his last game for us. Looked like a hammy.
