Tis brings in Gwinnett, his mate (A GK coach) a few weeks later Coles has gone. Then see attached comment which Coles likes on LinkedIn? Quite obvious to me.

[br That’s a quote from Tony Parkes , Coles has liked it, so what? Coles was a goalkeeper for Yeovil, we should be aiming higher for a coach. Get Phillips in, seen him training people locally before lockdown, He has recent experience and a lot of games behind him, unlike Coles.

Although that still probably won't be enough for your rose tinted spectacles.

One thing I never wear are rose tinted spectacles, but you seem to know so much as to why he has left, even though personal reasons were stated, but you still keep bringing it up, If you know something say it.

What does the club Coles played for have anything to do with his ability as a coach? He's coached for over 20 years and worked with some international Goalkeepers at the likes of Southampton, Portsmouth, West Ham and the England U18s and been involved in 3 FA Cup Finals.

Just my opinion, what makes him a good or bad coach? I have no idea, I haven’t worked with him. Equally as a manger I have gone into businesses and cleared out staff I haven’t wanted to work with as I don’t like the way they work and won’t produce the results I have wanted. GGMI is implying something but won’t say it.

Quite obvious then Coles went along with the club announcement to try and save face, PT brought in Williams to replace Hare and we thought it was a good move, I can't see him bringing in his own goalie coach is any different, Coles has hardly been working miracles with JVS, you being one of his biggest critics, I can't see Coles his any real lost to the club.

What progress have any of the reserve goalies made under Coles, when Anssi was injured we've had to get Day in? It's a sad fact of life that managers in any job like to surround themselves with people they know and trust.

I would suggest we are unlikely to find a GK coach with his level of experience and standing in the game and one that is respected by the likes of the vastly experienced coach and current Manchester United GK scout Tony Parks.

Steve McClaren was a failed England Manager, This goalkeeping coach may of worked for England, it doesn’t mean he’s any good as one, equally he may be amazing, I’ve no interest either way, he’s left the club, for whatever reasons, personal were stated so it’s over and I’m not going to lose sleep over it. Get someone else in to replace him.

I do know that he's got a good eye for a GK and had highlighted really good ones (a couple in the non-league pyramid) to potentially target in the future. He's obviously respected in the game and his experience is second to none compared to what we are likely to employ in the future.

Tis brings in Gwinnett, his mate (A GK coach) a few weeks later Coles has gone. Then see attached comment which Coles likes on LinkedIn? Quite obvious to me. I'm going to sound heartless here, but I think a new manager has the prerogative to assess his coaching team and see who fits and who doesn't. Lots on here, myself included, have casually said that we should bring in a defensive coach/striker's coach, etc. and usually a coach in will mean a coach out. That is the harsh financial reality.
I don't know whether the decision to part ways with Coles was forced, or his own decision. I don't know whether it will be significant, but Tisdale needs to make his own call on these things, because he is responsible for the overall performance.

Totally agree, you live into a job, see deadwood, remove them, bring the good through and bring in one or two of your people, that’s what I have always done and it’s worked for me in work, admittedly not football.

If you are going to make contentious decisions the results need to back them up. If Coles went and results improved fine, likewise with bringing Gwinnett in.
In both instances the results got worse / were awful so neither look like a good decision.

I'm not really what the obsession is on Gaschat with analysing every decision PT makes, if he binned all the present coaching staff and brought in all his own men, which isn't unusual, there's nothing we can do about it.

What’s that got to do with sacking the GK coach? I would expect all our keepers to keep a clean sheet against a team that hasn’t scored in 6 games. In fact I’d expect most of us on here to do so. On the staff, Starnes made a statement in the media that the new manager would be expected to work with the existing staff. “Starnes added the club would "certainly resist" a prospective manager's requests to add to or alter the coaching staff. "We are just looking to bring in one person because the coaching staff have done a good job for us," he continued.”

Istm all you post is pro BG stuff or (presumably because of your pro BG agenda) anti PT stuff. Makes me think you're not really a Gashead. Also I'd suggest BG is in the past, and you might want to let it go.
