I missed today (maybe I should more often) but sounds encouraging.
This was against a Shrewsbury in fine form too, and it seems like until the final 15 mins roughly, they didn't even have a shot?! What happened there?
Did Joey managed to get the best of our Westbrooke?

Loved that today .... Passion/ Grit / Camaraderie ...
The way they were high fiving, encouraging each other and hugging was just brilliant...
Leahy was constantly encouraging everyone... the Captain we have needed for so long... Give it to him for the rest of the season JB
Great game until injury time but we got through ...
I had. 2-1 ... Gas win Btts ... Leahy first goal
Happy days ... Let’s go again Tuesday ... Can’t wait !

I think we made too many subs at one time and suddenly the team were disjointed for last 10 minutes and we conceded. Other than that, we were very good I thought, couldn't fault it...must keep on going now, more big performance needed again on Tuesday.

Every time the cameraman focused in on the dug out Maher came into view with a piece of paper in his hand - I have it in good authority it was his wifes shopping list as he had to call in to Lidls on the way home.

Bringing on subs so late in the game can be disruptive plus they need time to get involved but we got away with it-great win now on to Tuesday night Yeah I said it after the last game im not a fan of bringing on multiple subs at the same time. Its twice now in a row we have conceded following this. Dominated the game really which is why its so important to not give momentum away

I know it's very early days but Barton with his passion and the way he talks about how football should be played seems like the perfect fit for our club.Ive got such a positive feeling about this appointment. I think I might finally be getting over DC leaving! I know what you mean. Like DC, JB just seems to fit and as I said above, it's very early days but he seems to get our club. Two games in and I've not felt this connected or positive to a manager since DC.

Great to see JB is pulling together a plan that previous managers couldnt. Just listening to a 5 min interview you can understand why you'd want to play for him and probably why we are seeing the best out of the team
Great performance today, players and staff should be proud watching that one back. On to Tuesday and another big test but one we should now relish

Always massively passionate and leads by example.

Yeah for me has always got some unfair stick. A solid L1 left back. IMO, Leahy gets his fair share of stick but also gets his fair share of praise. He goes in form patches that’s for sure. If Barton can bring out the best in him though, then fantastic.

Its twice now in a row we have conceded following this. Dominated the game really which is why its so important to not give momentum away I don't think there is any benefit really with being able to make five substitutions because you can only make them on three occasions. So you always want to keep that last change until very late or to use in an emergency case like we had to yesterday. If you really want to make use of it maybe its better to do it in two's rather than one early sub and then a triple sub so late on. That may not make any difference but it seams a bit more logical.

So pleased with that team performance
Very good displays from Rodman, Westbrooke and what a battling shift from McCormick
Williams and Harries also deserve praise
Leahy for captain for me
Looks like JB has found the formula, not keen on the late triple substitutions though, bit unsettling after 88 mins of dominance

Just catching up now and I think we need to ground ourselves a little with the ‘best game since’ stuff.
Seems to me we did very well against Portsmouth less than 2 weeks ago, AFC Wimbledon under that hopeless Tisdale, and Lincoln under even Ben Garner! We had a stormer against Ipswich last season before our manager upped sticks and then the squad collapsed.
Yesterday was a strong performance but we almost chucked it all away after we switched off completely just before added time. We’re still struggling to score goals. We also have form for pulling a strong win out of the bag and then going back to our clumsy old ways with this squad.
The more I learn about Joey Barton the more I like him, and he has done enough so far to give me faith we will be in league one next season (forget about turning that key on the playoff bus this season) but we were fawning over Paul Tisdale and fawning over Ben Garner. One swallow does not make a summer and there is a hard battle ahead of us in this new dawn of a spring before that summer comes.
So let’s not get too carried away yet until we get a few more wins by our name in the form table.
To add: someone said best game since Harrison left. I seem to remember some good backs to the wall stuff under GC on a fairly consistent basis.
