I'm afraid that's not good enough. Burton were awful. Ref awful. We were awful second half. Going down I'm afraid . 100%

We have been mugged by the ref Easy to blame the ref but just like Gillingham, we failed to score when we were on top in the first half and then paid the penalty in the second half. Chances are even with 11 men we'd have still lost. Plus McCormick with another cheap early booking and then needlessly kicking the ball away gave the ref the chance to dish out a red. I can't understand why Ayunga only gets 5 mins plus injury time when he looks a better striker than Hanlan, when he finally replaces him.

Even before the red, we weren’t playing very well.
The red and resulting goal killed the game off, but we were nowhere near the performance levels of Saturday.
Got to do a lot better, tough tough game away against Hull coming up on the weekend.

Can't knock the players for effort, the better team definitely lost there. Terrible display by the officials. Hope Burton go down with their gamesmanship, awful awful team. Plenty of niggly fouls, I did wonder after Dale had a player sent off against them? I'd be absolutely fuming if I was manager after that. For the first time this season a ref decides to book a player for kicking the ball away it has to be one of ours on a second booking. Then normal service resumed! Them kicking the ball away and no booking.

Fear not. Mr Barton will sort it out. We’ve now lost to Burton and Wigan. That’s bad. The amazing thing is we are still in with a shout, there is some absolute dribble down the bottom and we hopefully will be the 5th worst dribble of the lot. Lots of work to do with this squad, some good attacking players but very imbalanced. We need to now play well against the teams in the top half as we have been dire against other poor sides.

My big concerns are ehmer being fit again and given automatic place back in the team as we’re better without him and Williams being injured

That ref obviously took some guidance from the French referee on Saturday.

Sickener we didn't deserve that we were coasting until the sending off. At the end of the day though if we can't score when we are on top and we pay the penalty. Their bias commentators are making me feel even sicker than I already am.

2 things cost us this game - Westy starting the match day thread instead of Gashead73 😉 and diabolical refereeing.... McCormicks first booking was soft and the sending off one even worse,! The ref didn’t book Hemmings when he kicked the ball away! 11 v 11 we were in total control and up until the sending off we were in control... the sending off changed everything for us....

All I would say fellow Gasheads is we were in control in that game and it turned, rightly or wrongly on th sending off.
Please, don’t shoot from th hip in your responses tonight th club are fighting, they’re young, they’re trying hard under new management and IMO th signs are there - we’ve got what it takes, it won’t be easy an it shouldn’t be, but give your total support to all th lads/management, they are th ones we have an th only ones who can do it, they need us as much as we need them.
No Surrender 💙

Story of our season irrespective of the sending off. Plenty of chances first half, failed to score and then very poor second half, never looked like scoring if we had been there all night. Bottom four looms after Saturdays game.

Absolutely gutted...
Bloody salesman meant I missed the game but was looking at my phone every few minutes.
Need to rebalance ... I was delighted Saturday and now tonight yuck.
Looks like second half was woeful ... sending off or no sending off. We desperately need to start taking chances...
We have failed to beat Wigan and Burton this season ... both have taken four points off of us ... both are awful so what does that makes us.

Lads I'm actually getting concerned we might go down. Like we've all got the see and the know how of "this team are taking us down," but we might actually go down. We might actually be in League 2 next season. I don't want to be in League 2 lads, League 2 Dam stinks. I don't want to be playing Crawley or Carlisle again on a cold Tuesday evening. I like it here in League 1

I just don’t see how we stay up, we’ve lost every single 6 pointer against teams around us this season.

Personally I think we are still paying the price for not getting in an experienced striker
