His value has jumped 4 million in half a season!!
Strange if he did leave them so soon as he could have stayed here and still had plenty of interest in the summer

Strange if he did leave them so soon as he could have stayed here and still had plenty of interest in the summer Sadly with posh having much better players than us, I wonder whether JCH has flourished because of that and whether he would of shown the same form he is now if he had stayed. Given all clubs financial positions. I hope posh do sell him for 5 and we pocket a million. Not to spend but to keep us further out of the red.

Peterborough are a very good judge of player on the whole, so allows them to spend reasonably big on players with a certain degree of confidence they will make a profit. Apart from JCH, they signed Jack Taylor for £500k from conference team Barnet on 7th Jan 2020, and already had offers for him at the start of this season!! Szmodics is another one, signed for around £1M on a 4 year deal and will probably be sold for more than they bought him for. (Edit: They paid B.City as much as they gave us for JCH, yet Szmodics hadnt been proven above L2 level) Meanwhile, Andy Tilson still holds the record for our biggest transfer fee paid, at a time I was still at secondary school

He was on fire for them on loan from City last season in L1.

A nice easy million pounds in this economy is nothing to turn our nose up at. If it happens then that's going to help us in terms of what we can spend next year, but we can't hang our hats on it. We can only hope.
Ideally, we need someone to buy Newcastle United after they get relegated and spunk £20m on him instead.

The way Posh get the best value would not be surprised if they got 10 million for him, a cool 2 million to assemble a promotion challenging joey squad

I would say I find it unlikely anyone is going to spend that much on him. Part of the appeal has to be the relatively cheap price tag attached to such an efficient player. But, it's hard to predict this market these days. Let's hope he goes for lots of money!

He’s fired them to the top position , if he’d stayed with us we’d probably be around mid table. He’s that good. I don’t blame him for leaving , I wouldn’t have stayed with that joker Garner running it either. He and Tisdale were two of our worst ever appointments so to have them both in one season just goes to show the job our new Management/ coaching staff have got on their hands. Good luck to JCH , his goals kept us up and then had us knocking on the championship door before that clown was appointed. I hope he gets them up and does well next season in the championship.

Another ex striker who's said to have lost substantial weight at his new club, what do all the medical etc staff we now seem to employ actually do on a day to day basis, given how horrifically overweight Barrett was when he last returned to the side?
The whole club needs shaking up from top to bottom, hopefully Barton stays around long enough to do it.

Barrett is undoubtedly a talent, Ben gave up on him, Tisdale liked him wonder what joey will make of him, bet there will be some straight talking.

Then their owner likes to shame the player on twitter for not buggering off.

Just think. If we could rake in a million pounds or so, we could afford to take on a couple more managers, give 'em two and a half year contracts, and then pay 'em off after a couple of months. Such fun!

A player who’s scoring a load of goals in what ever division ......... say this season , Bob scored 15 goals for Wigan and Bob 2 scored 15 goals for Hull . Bob 2 ( promotion) would be more expensive than relegation threatened Bob 1 . That’s the way it works , Rovers need to be a Bob 2 club to maximise the money we can make out of Bob 1/2.

Then their owner likes to shame the player on twitter for not buggering off. Mo Eisa hasn’t worked neither did Maddison. From memory, McAnthony puts them on 3 year deals and when they get to the last year they’re expected to sign an extension. If they refuse they are transfer listed so that they can still be moved on for a fee.
