He seems to have learned from that red card. A couple of times last night he held back from challenges he would have normally flown into. Makes such a difference not having him on a booking for a large period of the game. His yellow last night was very soft, shoulder to shoulder and was not even a foul in my opinion. He did give some verbal to the assistant ref for giving the foul but the man in the middle had already had the card out.

Thought he was awesome again last night... going to be really hard to keep him here if he is up for sale next season. Taking Millwall as an example - I don't know if he would walk straight into their starting XI whereas a player of his mentality and ability should be on that pitch every minute so we could offer that which may be more appealing for a 22 year old as apposed to a bit more money. Would love us to get his name early in the window get the fanbase really going with the ability of getting these players who add value and are adored by the fans

Fact Josh Grant came must give us a chance.

He has seen it all and done it all (the good and the bad). All this in the exact position you play. That is worth way more than a bit more cash on a championship bench... i know it rarely works that way but you can hope... Macca certainly displays the passion for our club that you don't see from some of the perms

Agree it was soft, but it was unnessary he picks those up because he's an in your face type of player and although it was a soft booking it was blatant. I thought the ref was ok last night.

Joey might just sign his contract himself though or Mangs and Hill will kidnap him 😂😂

Money isn't always the deciding factor. (Oh sorry you said that) At his age he has a while to develop by playing in competitive games rather than sitting on the bench in the Championship. He could ultimately increase his value substantially and hence his own future rewards by staying here for a couple of years. We do offer decent wages for the right players, at our level, it seems. He might be persuaded to stay if he thinks we're ambitious. But the stadium holds us back in attracting and retaining young talent. Widders can show them scenes of Wembley and lots of PowerPoint slides about our potential, but as soon as they walk into the embarrassment we play in, they must be thinking about when, not if, they can get out.

First 10/10 from Frosty. Obvs we’d love to sign him, but has anyone seen if Chelsea fans/forums have picked up on how well he is doing here? Maybe one more season on loan with us rather than sell him to the Championship?!

His fitness / desire is absolutely staggering, particularly from a Premiership loanee. He chases every ball as if his life depends on it.

Not enough superlatives to describe his all-round performance. He sets the tone for every other player. Never shirks, never hides, just pray he stays fit for the last 6 games and can drag us out of this.
Whatever happens he will be remembered fondly, but if he does help us survive he will go down in Bristol Rovers folklore.

Shown his real quality in a struggling side this season. He does look a complete centre mid. Let's hope he can keep us up before he moves back up the leagues.

Super Mac covered every blade of grass, wanted him to take the last free kick and bend it in.
Great attitude and hope he can help us stay up, there is hope UTG

If anyone from Millwall or Chelsea are reading, he’s bloody useless. Never survive in the championship or above. Waste of space. Nothing to see here. Best off he stays at Rovers to keep developing. I’d sell him to the gas for £55,000 tomorrow and consider it good business.

Cant remember the last outfield youngster to come in and have as big an impact as macca.
Hope he finishes the job over the next 6 games and gets his chance with one of the championships big boys next year.

Took both goals brilliantly and is far too good to stick around if I’m being honest. Just watched JB’s post match interview and couldn’t help but notice a bit of hypocrisy from him. I thought it odd to see him praise the referee. No wonder as LM’s second goal was clearly offside. Hanlon was 5 yards off and in line with their keeper so clearly interfering with play. You win some, etc.

Gutted I’m unlikely to see him play for us live. Was outstanding today and has been all season, he has a great attitude to go with his ability.
I wish him well whatever happens in the summer and will follow his progress with interest.
