It always amuses me when you say he 'runs around alot'. Have I said that before? Quite sure you have, if not I apologise. It amuses me that that's the only thing you could say about my post though. And regardless, the comment is still wrong, he quite clearly doesn't "just run around a lot"

I suppose it's typical MT put his chance away when just offside, then fails to convert his chance when onside. The shot straight at the goalie was a very poor attempt, why didn't he imagine it was a penalty!

Very comfortable win. First half not great but Welling were so poo it was only a matter of time. Anyone know the away attendance as they had a grand total of zero in the seats? Earlier this season/last season we would have got 0-0 or lost against a team like welling, a great result and a real improvement

Would we have scored the two goals we scored without him today?

Anyone that would drop a striker that has the recent scoring/assist record over the last few games as Matty Taylor is in my opinion guided only by a reluctance to concede previous statements about said striker may have been misguided. ...

It's nice to have choice, I'd like to see blisset and LDV start, but torn between Taylor who did well today and Balanta who still didn't quite look the real deal to me today but definitely a rising star They are totally different players and i believe that when Ballanta gets full match fitness we will find someone with the ability to regularly open up teams who come to defend. He may lack real pace but good players make so much time for themselves when they are on the ball that they look slow. Ballanta showed great presence of mind to delay his original pass to Blisset and he made that opportunity

His all round game today more than meritted his inclusion, IMO. Certainly better than 'absolutely useless' and 'doesn't deserve any credit'. Surely you can admit that? Sorry if this offends, but until he starts to put away routine chances,he will always be useless in my opinion.Yes he runs around a lot, but so do a lot of other players. His strike rate is dreadful and the one on one today was once again bloody embarrassing. Balanta looked sharp when he came on so I think he deserves a start, up top with big Nathan. Christian McClean thought he was good......

I agree t bone makes me laugh. Yes, me too, because he is so dry that I can never be sure if he's being serious or not. Just in case, though..... If anyone is in any doubt about Taylor's form for us, let's look at his contributions since losing his place for the match against Kidderminster. KIDDERMINSTER (1-1 draw) Reacts well to losing his place, coming off the bench to score late equaliser from open play. CHESTER (2-2 draw) Great cross for Blisset to convert and put us 1-0 up. BARNET (2-1 win) Scores opening goal from open play, good run and shot. WELLING (2-0 win) Smart play in build up to Blisset's goal. Wins penalty when fouled in box after neat turn, converts penalty to score. Fair play to the lad, he was under serious pressure, lost his place, has seen the manager bring in 3 new strikers and yet reacts in the best possible way, scoring 3 in the last 4 and instrumental in assisting 2 of the other 4 goals we have scored in that time. Say what you like about him, but he certainly doesn't seem to lack bottle and has made himself our number one striker again, despite the new competition for places in the squad.

This is a massive game today. Before the Chester and Barnet games my confidence was starting to dwindle, some may disagree with me but I felt as though we were on a bad run and the performances weren't great nor were the results. However, Tuesday night I thought we were absolutely brilliant, and I don't just mean the team but the fans were loud and proud and behind the team before the game started. Well what else do you expect? Our backs were against the wall against a team at the top of the league. Rovers fans always seem to show their true colours in these games and didn't let us down Tuesday night. You could see the way this translated onto the pitch with a high energy performance from the first whistle. It was the best performance from a Rovers side I had seen for years and haven't felt as proud as that since promotion from league two. Now comes the potential banana skin against a Welling side who are unbeaten in their last 3. We as fans have a tendency to go into these games with a complacency that we just need to turn up. Then after 10 minutes and it's still 0-0, the crowd gets frustrated and starts turning and these frustrations start to translate themself onto the pitch. We must not do this today. We need to give the boys our full support from the first minute to the last to give us the best chance of putting in a performance like Tuesday night. We need to treat this game like we are playing another Barnet. We MUST NOT turn up thinking we are just going to turn over another part time team. As a Barnet fan said on their forum, that last minute goal had a momentum shifting feel about it. But now is the time where we really need to capitalise on it. This is the time where we can and need to kick on!!! So come on gas, let's now put this division to the sword!!!! UTG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was looking at Luton's position in their first season in the conference. They finished 2nd in the 2009/10 season and took five years to get promoted !! Just putting things into perspective!

Clearly, it will ground breaking when we win this league. We've hit form at the right time. It's in our hands and nobody is going to stop us now.

Matty Taylor's the most talented footballer in our squad DC can see that and he's building a team around him. That's not to say we would be shot without him but everything goes through him when he's on the pitch. Keep up the good work Gas you've given us our Rovers back.

All the forward players DC is bringing in are the perfect types of players to compliment Taylor, in Bliss and Wall you've got big units who will charge like a machine into the spaces that Taylor creates and in goldburn we've got a player who I think is probably quite similar and is a good understudy for him. We've got two players for every position now other than left back I reckon and Lee brown is such a professional consistent strong player that that's the reason it hasn't really been mentioned by us. Mr reliable and the best left back we've had for a long time. Good options out wide for the first time in ages. Stuey in the middle with mansell compliment each other perfectly and the defence is arguably even better than it was last season which considering we've lost Smith says a lot about Trotman. I really like This squad I think we've got balance and adaptability that we haven't seen since god knows when. I'm one happy Gashead.
