Not looking for attention Okebourne, just staying my case to try to answer the foul abuse that I have received from certain posters What do you f**king expect when you came on here stating any ‘decent’ person should boycott games? Not everyone likes Barton, some may even choose not to watch games but you take it a step further with your moral superiority and slag off your ‘fellow gasheads’. Fingers crossed Barton keeps us up and takes us into next season and you can spend your Saturday afternoons in B&Q. Not sure why Meldrew has followed this up by saying foul abuse. The f word here is used to be shouty or abrupt. Eric has not aimed the word at you. Same as foul and abusive language with refs. Swear yes but not 'at' the ref, not even a booking

Can’t remember the last time I enjoyed watching a Rovers match before tonight.

Great win. I had forgotten what it was like yo enjoy the last 20 mins of a Rovers match. The high press really unnerved their defence and to limit them to 2 shots on target was brilliant. Well JB and the entire team Love him or not Leahy knows how to score goals. I'm actually looking forward to Saturday now

I actually thought tbone was quite amusing, but only because it was obvious that his monotonous moaning and groaning at everything was just him on the wind up. I can imagine why others would have found him annoying though. Hugo had had enough 🤣 Basically. But he wasn’t the only one. Sometimes the forum as well as the posters need a rest.

There you go Eric, resorting to foul abuse. Sorry but which part of his post is foul abuse? Gassy, you’re a moderator. If you can’t see the abuse then we’re all in trouble. Jeez. Why can’t we just tolerate other opinions without the polarisation? UTG!

I am aware that some posters dislike me because of my views regarding the recruitment of Barton and the fact that I have returned my season ticket in protest. But I am still a supporter of the Gas and always will be. Great result tonight, good luck for the weekend. When Barton leaves the club, whenever that is, I will return to take my seat in the stand. Meantime, I for the reasons I have stated, Wilmot attend games, neither will I watch the games on I follow. Good luck to the gas. Talk about cut your nose off to spite your face.

Thoroughly enjoyed that. Ayunga was fab as was Nicholson and Leahy and Westbrook and everyone else for that matter. I’m not a fan of Upson but he was good tonight.
What I liked most was the way we started the second half positively, on the front foot and not looking like we were waiting for the final whistle.
Most of all I’m delighted for our manager. He deserves our support. He’s no angel I’m sure but let he who is without sin cast the first stone as they say.

I’m assuming that said posters who have been offended by use of the f word have never said it in reference to anyone or sung it at anyone in games...? What if he said, what do you chuffing well expect?

He does enough without stone throwing added to the charge sheet

What a performance from the boys tonight - loved it.
Such an aggressive press without the ball that Accy struggled with all game, and looked so dangerous every time we came forward. Some of the play between the likes of Rodman, McCormick, Westbrooke, Nicholson & Ayunga in attacking areas was superb.
Could easily have had 5 or 6 tonight and it wouldn’t have flattered us!

Can’t remember the last time I enjoyed watching a Rovers match before tonight. Wimbledon away? Sad that it is such a disappointing season in a depressing year

A bit like Clark Kent is nowhere to be seen when Superman appears Tbone is never around when Rovers win! Weird! Tbone is banned, he was on the other forum wanting to know why. I've messaged a mod as Boner text me tonight, when you meet him he is actually a very nice man, who has had health problems recently, we need the weather man back! Bring back the bone!

Meldew's clearly looking for a response by posting on the match threads, as continually posting "Don't worry Mr Barton will sort this out" when we're losing is hardly an opinion. Just a pity posters don't just ignore the sad attention seeker.

Well that's a relief! well done all BUT we must follow it up with a repeat on Sat v Wombles, something we have failed to do after previous good performances this season , apart from bit of a run under PT. Think its a shame that a) prematch we had negativity about JB , and b) post match the negativity came to the fore again , whereas i respect and understand the view's expressed i do not see the need to bring it all up in a thread about a vital match and certainly not after a very rare and welcome 4-1 win! So lets confine such posts to the relevant thread and on match days lets stick to getting behind the boys and ensure we retain our tier 3 status! up the Rovers!

FWIW: Hard to pick out a MOM, Alex R probably pushed by Upson, but so many good performances. I love McCs hassle in midfield. Even if we were sometimes outnumbered in midfield he never let Accrington settle. Very good. Ayunga very good and as others have said he does remind me of Devon W and that’s high praise. Don’t get the implied criticism against Hanlan just because Ayunga played well tonight he scored a great goal against Shrewsbury. We need both of them and they both bring something to the team, we will need both in the months ahead. Both CHs were good and won nearly all their headers and defended well Some lovely goals. The build up to all of them was good, no luck about that tonight, very classy and goals 2,3 and 4 were great strikes or great build up. One thing, does Day have a problem at his near post on his right shoulder? Against Rochdale and tonight we gave away goals and on his left shoulder against Crewe (?). Perhaps a bit picky after a great win but it could be crucial in a tight match.
If we play like that and keep our consistency going we’ll be ok. I don’t really care about how others are doing, it’s all about us. We play well, we’ll be ok. The time to worry about the others will be when we come to the last 2/3/4 matches. Then what they do is important, until then it’s about us. We are now seeing more consistency in our performances and I make that 7 matches (TW and JB) when the performance has been ok. In some we gave away poor goals through individual errors which stopped getting what we deserved but keep that up and we’ll be ok. Well done JB and the team. UTG!

Match day threads should be about the match and not about one individual poster who wants to make it all about him.

Not looking for attention Okebourne, just staying my case to try to answer the foul abuse that I have received from certain posters Apologies, I did use foul language towards you the other week - you went too far, when we were all feeling emotional about the bad result. Not my usual style, hope we can all pull together until the end of the season, regardless of differing opinions.
