I didn't see the match on Saturday - I read somewhere that captain Ehmer was taken off at half-time - was that (mmmm) tactical or injury? So he may not be playing for whatever reason tonight. Can I bear to buy a pass tonight?I was the same on Saturday and crumbled at 14:57. You'll buy it. Haha, I've been there several times this season! |

Why put this sh**e on a match day thread get real Presume you are talking about the post from the newbie, yes very strange on a match thread, all that crap has been discussed on the appropriate threads, makes you wonder if our newbie friend is genuine or from the dark side ?, regardless you are right , post not appropriate on matchday thread! 😁😁 Dark side? I live in BS3, yep. Rovers supporter though and apologies for not towing the Barton Is Our Saviour line. |

Is the forum about to be infested with the negative and bitter anti club tossers from the 'alternative forum' where basically everything about the club is wrong and they always know best?
People wonder why this club has struggled over the years with the splits and divisions in the fanbase. Nothing to do with Barton by the way, they've been at it for decades.
You know the sort, always right and sanctimonious holier than thou types where butter wouldn't melt and the sun shines out of their backsides, but if you looked into their past the skeleton's in the closet are likely to be bursting to escape.

Actually I don't think Barton will be our saviour this season. I don't think even acclaimed managers like Pep and Jose would be our saviours either. However, with Barton at the helm I'm very optimistic for next season regardless of the division we find ourselves in.

Can't speak for others, but I'm certainly not anti Rovers and never have been. Haven't used the other site for months either. I'm usually right a couple of times a year, or at least think so until my wife tells me otherwise. Everyone has done things wrong,of course. Anyone who says otherwise is telling lies. My comments were my opinion, that's all. Accepted they were on the wrong thread, but still. I will eat bucket loads of humble pie if Barton is a success at Rovers. No chips on shoulders here, Pirate. You may need a thick skin, but I’m sure you realise this! 😉 Had we not appointed JB most on here would have been calling for him to be locked up with the key thrown away when the case is heard in early June. Now that he’s ours the story has completely flipped. It would be funny if we weren’t staring at relegation. We’ve appointed him now so we get behind him and the team and BRFC. UTG! |

Apologies I don't have the hour it usually takes me for the mega pre match stuff so here is a snapshot... which might just be better going forward.
What to expect from Accrington:
Majority of matches have been: 3-5-2
Top Goal Scorer: Charles
Top Assists: Pritchard
Great in the air: Sykes and Burgess
They take a lot of shots, from anywhere, they play long balls, crosses, direct passes and basically get the ball into us as much as they can. Last time around it worked as they had 23 shots, 11 on target and scored 6. It wasn't the best win this season as they smashed Leeds kids 7-0 in the pizza cup.
They are susceptible against skillful players and will likely foul rather than let them pass so if we can work on that and get our set piece game firing again that could be a decent route to victory.
They don't lose many and certainly don't concede many either, biggest losses have been due to sending offs.
Tough match ahead but I previously said we will win 4 - 0 and I am standing by that. Massive effort from the team tonight I can feel it in my bones.

we seem to be suffering from teams whose players when we have a free kick think that entitles them to stand right in front of you . Instead of playing sideways or back couldn't we wait until they were 10 yards away . the ref might get as fed up of it as i am

Lionheart, If you go for a back four you don't really want a wingback. IMO Harries had a good game on Saturday as did Nicholson and Daly hasn't warranted inclusion since his injury. I would play Ayunga up top with Hanlan and Nicholson tucked in as he caused Accrington problems in the first game. In preference to Upson I would play McCormick. My team would be along the lines of Day Williams Ehmer or Baldwin Harries Koiki or Tutonda NcCormick Rodman Westbrooke Nicholson Hanlan Ayunga Good point. But I think Lionheart may have meant that Williams and Leahy/Tutonda would revert to a more older fashion RB/LB rather than wingback Yes I did .... Not sure Hanlan is fit enough - Nicholson to0 ... according to JB. |

Accy alwyas seem to be a bit of a bogey side for us, it will be interesting to compare tonights performance with the 6-1 thrashing. Maybe a good measure of any real progress.
