Upson has himself to blame. We know we won't get favours from the ref. Why make it easy for the ref by doing something so stupid, especially when we are fighting for our lives! Best thing about this though is that Upson won't be available for the next game. Isn’t it 3 games for violent conduct? Yep thank god |

He's not completely blameless. He accepted relegation way too early for me. His mentality and attitude wasn't there to keep us up. The bloke has passion and has done all he could with dead wood, I don't blame him in the slightest, the team is sh**e I'll be happy to see 2 players stay for next season the rest are crap He's been looking to blame everyone and the ppg stats for each manager would contradict your view that he's done the best he could with dead wood. |

Can only hope Joey manages a Clarke style turnaround. Lots of similarities to the situation DC inherited when we dropped to the conference. Except that Clarke had a good knowledge of National League players. Barton does not, nor league 2. Or league 1. |

let's be honest he has a bunch of crap to work with, don't go blaming Barton, you want someone to blame then you can blame Garner Widdrington and Tisdale they are the ones that built this sh** team not Barton He's not completely blameless. He accepted relegation way too early for me. His mentality and attitude wasn't there to keep us up. I agree and tbh I see very little difference from the previous managers in tactics/formation etc which clearly didn't work before. He can say they were not his players which is correct but I have seen very little over the past weeks to suggest we would have any real chance of staying up. His focus seems to be more on a blame game and talking about changing everything despite having enough games still to go. If Wael gives him a completely free reign next season then it's boom or bust and I fear the latter. |

Should have been sacked then (as already said) but built a squad and should have been left to live or die by it. We wouldn’t be going down now if he’d stayed on. Barton has been woeful. There is enough talent to win a few games in this sh** league. How can you say we wouldn't be going down with BG in charge?? He is our worst manager in our history and stats back this up, there was ...no...no chance of him keeping us up. Look how we fell under him from 4th in L1 and the mess we are in now was created by him! Should Barton have done better maybe, but this is a toxic squad and him or Tisdale also couldnt get anything out of it. BECAUSE THEY ARE CRAP.. Joey maybe the one holding our clubs hand when we die this season, but it was BG that put the bullet in the gun and pulled the trigger that killed us. Funny how people blame DC for taking us down to non league yet JB is getting away with it?? Statistically BG has been our best manager this season. Yes worst in our history for sure based on his time here, but this season his spell had harder games and his PPG was the best. |

Anybody who thinks JB is blameless is completely deluded. He came into a club performing poorly, managed to improve performances a bit, but the results and ultimately our league position and remained in sharp decline. His job was to come in and improve our results and keep us in the division. He has failed, and therefore he is not blameless.

We are down now - realistically we've been doomed for many weeks.
Really disappointed in Upson. From what I've read here, and not seeing it for myself, it seems that as one of the few senior professionals in this squad he has to avoid giving the Ref the excuse.
I hope JB can find two or three leaders over the Summer as we have none. A couple of ugly b*st*rd centre halves too....and a couple of proper l2 strikers, and a couple of ball winning midfielders. Not much needed then...
