On reflection let em go and good riddance! so that leaves 14 prem teams , so no relegation this year and promote 4 teams instead of 3, no relegation from championship promote 4 instead of 3, NO RELEGATION FROM LEAGUE 1 and promote 4, no relegation from 2 and promote 4. Seems excellent plan to me ,can't imagine why!! all for that idea. You should head up the fa

Is anybody seriously surprised? The Premiership clubs are obsessed with money and stuff everybody else. These six clubs are the wealthiest in the Premiership and now they are saying stuff the remaining clubs in the division. Good riddance!

I’m dead against it but I do feel it’s a case of what comes around goes around too. The Premier league have had their foot on lower league clubs necks for years. They don’t like this like we don’t like the idea of -23 Prem teams in the JPT which would probably lead to us watching Rovers v Stoke -23 s in a league game. Thing is that wasn’t front page news was it but it should be because it’s tearing the arse out of the history and prestige of the game in this country.

If 6 teams do leave the Premier League. What would that do for us, would the top 6 teams in each league below be promoted and no relegation? It’s the Wycombe last roll of the dice all over again 😄

Just seen Chelsea supporters statement this morning. Apparently it would upset fans around the world. No it won't, the fact the Premier league is sold around the world was the start of the issue. The fans in the far east are being catered for, your pay at the gate people are small fry in monetary terms Totally agree. For premier league clubs match day income is around 10% of overall income. In the lower leagues it’s more like 90%.

I have had to laugh at the hypocrisy of Sky Sports comments today also. They (and other outlets) have fed the Premier league and are now upset they may lose out on some of these big games. I am tempted to quit my sports subscription now. Not sure what impact this will have for the rest of the Premier and EFL? Maybe the big reset we have been discussing won’t be contained to BS7.....

I see Leeds wore warm up tee shirts tonight emblazoned football is for the fans. They hung a set in the away dressing room and Liverpool refused to wear them. After all the banners put up outside Anfield field today, I wonder what tonight's message sends to their fans.

I will never protest against anything related to the Premier League or Champions league etc. Wasn't long ago I had a discussion with some Prem fans about them having to pay £15 per game during Covid. Can you actually believe they wanted the Prem & EFL fans to join together, 'for all football fans out there'? I wasn't even polite about it, I told them they can p*ss off. We have to pay £10 for each game, never mind the fact that the so called 'fans' were no where when it came to forcing their B teams into our cup. It's just take take take from the clubs and the fans tbh. They deserve each other as far as I'm concerned.

Starved out of existence? Some of these clubs have hundreds of millions of loyal followers all across the globe. Whether they get kicked out of the Premier League or not, they clearly aren’t going to go away. Where they will go is their own league which will be viewed on something like Amazon, Netflix or even start their own streaming platform and they’ll be absolutely minted. I’m not in favour of this due to sporting integrity but let’s not kid ourselves that the game itself, at the highest levels, wasn’t already heading in this direction and has been since the formation of the Premier League and the revamped Champions League. It was inevitable. There is sufficient strength of opposition at the very highest levels to ensure that these parasites will fail spectacularly. That includes the possible banning of broadcasting in most European countries. Sure that leaves America and the Far East, maybe the clubs would have to relocate there too. Either way the identity of the clubs that these millions of fickle glory hunters support will be lost, the old clubs will be gone. Thats harsh, all the fans groups of the 6 clubs have utterly condemned the move and are working together to try to stop it. The majority of proper fans of ALL clubs are disgusted.

The ‘Proper’ fans are trying to stop it. They probably can see that the club they’ve supported all their life could be relocated to Shanghai. However this is only on the table because of the millions of plastics who have no allegiance beyond glamour and glory. We talk about the football family but the owners of the pig six don’t understand that. They don’t care about anything other than money. However they have utterly misunderstood the culture and strength of feeling against this. They are in for a shock

I Can’t help but feel it’s a case of what goes around comes around though. The Premier league have had their foot on the lower league clubs necks for years . We’ve got carragher and Neville up in arm’s who the like of have become very rich from their clubs monopolising the game and through the sky TV money which has put those clubs in the Position to do this. Be careful of what you wish for as they say. Football has been eating itself for decades and Covid and now today this Euro league announcement has sped up the process. I’m glad I support a lower league club where I can buy a season ticket for £300 quid , go to every game , less cheating , no VAR no stupid kick off times for Sky My Family can meet the players at open days , they earn about the same as me they’re genuine nice people who work hard and they and the clubs that they play for have been oppressed by the big Premier league for years. This isn’t anything new it’s just happening to the top so everyone’s taking notice.

Interestingly Prem League requires a two thirds majority to force through any rule changes, which just happens to be 14 clubs. Hopefully they will stick together and vote out the so called big 6!
