Wonderful news of true. Simply wonderful. If Chelsea, Madrid and Man City are expelled from the Champions League, then a bet on PSG might be a wise investment.

Does anyone know if we’ve been asked to join? Apparently Wael wanted to but JB said we could do better.

If the big 6 really do get kicked out of the Prem, it'll be interesting to see if the Prem go to 14 or 20 and reallocate. If so, the mighty gas might stay in League 1 for another season

So, if there are going to be 15 permanent members of the ESL, and they`ve already signed up 12, who do you think the other three will be?

If it does happen then it's poor timing by those clubs, they should have waited until the finals had taken place before making the announcement! I wonder what the players feel, this all seems another Kerry Packer situation but at least those cricketers individually choose to join his breakaway league.

"The European Super League was created "to save football", says Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.
Real are one of the 12 European clubs who have signed up to the breakaway league and intend to establish a new midweek competition.
Perez said the move had been made because young people are "no longer interested in football" because of "a lot of poor quality games"."
Lets see, oh yes poor quality games in Spain because you and Barca get all the money! More crap being spouted than on a forum!

I'm so glad that the rest of the footballing and political world seems to be in outrage about it. Expel these owners from football in my view. Send a warning out to all the other billionaire prospective owners that this type of charade will not be tolerated.

His comments are outrageous and insulting to every true football fan in the world. It’s good though because it will further strengthen opposition and the likelihood that they will get stamped on very very hard. Premier League meeting today without the pig 6. 14 clubs and 14 votes needed to carry any motion. It would be amazing if the stamping down starts with their expulsion. This whole episode has potential to be the catalyst for a complete reset of the professional game in this country and the rest of Europe, and that reset could be the polar opposite of what the greedy dozen want.

These are the clubs considering paying heaven knows what for Erling Haaland, paying him an eye-watering salary, and his father and agent €24m each for somehow being involved. Even if this ESL worked, they'd soon fritter away the extra income.

Could see this happening since the inception of the premier league. Clubs willing to pay more than they can afford, now they see it's a bad business they want the super league to justify their expenditure. Wonder if any top earner has ever wondered how they are going to continually be paid silly money for kicking a ball. I've not got issues with people who make a bit of cash but there is a line to be drawn between making and taking money. Real Madrid president wanting to save football from his own mistake of paying too much for success

Glad to see the back of them. It’s no good the likes of Everton and Leeds bleating about it now. They were all happy to pull the financial drawbridge up on the formation of the premier league. Unfortunately they’ve been caught on the wrong side of the money line this time, boo bloody hoo
