Our best defender is already playing in league two. Although even if we did offer him a new deal I can’t see why he would want to accept it!

Such a stupid comment, I agree. There will be about 10 or 12 still in contract for next season and if we can’t shift them they are already extremely demotivated. Quite a difference from his first interview eh? Wasn't it something along the lines of "this is an exciting group of players, when the penny drops"? if you remember, after the Wigan game - his first match in charge - he was quoted as saying we'd be 'absolutely fine'. All he's done since then is list reasons as to why we won't be 'absolutely fine'. He then said this after we beat shrews in Feb - 'it’s a young group, a really young group and I’m excited about the potential of this team going forward'...

And in my view our best midfielder is running the show in div two and will get them automatic promotion. That's not including Lockyer JCH Taylor Brown Harrison and other good players we had once .

The other day I was suggesting that we offer new contracts to players like Leahy and Rodman but now I’m thinking are we better off letting all those out of contact go to allow us to bring more new players in? If we cannot shift any of those still under contract we will be limited to how many new players we can bring in and next season won’t go any better. Spot on. We need to get rid of as many as possible and for the manager to be able to rebuild with players that; a) Give a f**k. b) Can concentrate for a whole game. c) Have guts and guile when the going gets tough. Everyone that can be got rid of, needs to be got rid of. Everyone complicit in this embarrassing charade of a season needs to be booted out of here ASAP lest they infest any chance of recovery next season.

All the leagues are difficult. We might be in big trouble here. Could easily see us being down in L2 for 5-10+ years, who knows. I hope I'm wrong and we can compete well next year. Unfortunately Chief, I can't see us being in L2 for 5-10+, I can see us going down again. I would not be surprised

For what it's worth, his interview on Radio Bristol just now I feel was an excellent and insightful interview.
Sounds as if some of the players haven't even clocked what has just happened.

We have to be realistic now that this is our level and will find us going further back before a dead cat bounce. We can certainly forget about a stadium and even attracting new support from the area. Criminal that this was not stopped in april last year.

Since our last promotion we've just been kidding ourselves we are a league one club. All the established clubs at league one level are miles ahead of us.

They'll have only he here if they are happy to take a big pay cut and then be content to train with the U23's, JB doesn't give the impression he'll let them have an easy life if they decide to stay at the club. Unfortunately you can’t just give under contract players a pay cut. Let’s hope they at least have a relegation pay cut clause in their contracts, but knowing Rovers I doubt it! JB's already suggested they will take a pay cut, I'd be surprised if they didn't have the clause in their contracts. Knowing what weasels footballers agents are they're probably already lining up deals for next season.

Just listened to Joey's interview. Absolutely spot on as far as I am concerned. Joey's up for the fight, this old boy is as well and hopefully the home truths he came out with will be dealt with by Wael and the likes of Widdrington are on their way asap.
