Fantastic away support all the way up there, hope they return to the league. I remember watching Weston vs Torquay on a cold Tuesday night in the National League South and Torquay brought over 1,000 fans and made one hell of a racket. Was tremendous support that night. I was there too.

Being a North-East based Gashead it’s one I can add to the list of maybes, along with the likes of Harrogate and Bradford, both of which are quite a bit more appealing, I might add!

I was travelling along Coronation Road and noticed a fair number of blue shirted fans heading in the direction of the ground.
Didn't even realise the play-off final was being played there. Surprised a Midlands ground wasn't used (considering the distance from Hartlepool).
No yellow shirts in evidence but maybe they were still on their way from Torquay (it was about midday).

I assume AG was chosen months ago, given their rugby season only finished yesterday I guess it was one of the few grounds which hasn't already had it's pitch dug up, although Rovers have been quiet on that score this summer.

Worry no more Topper, pitch is looking good!

12 Northerners 11 Southerners 1 midlands outfit
Quite a nice fair even split.
We’ll have to see who else Joey Brings in. But on paper I’m quietly confident we can finish top 7, potentially top 3.

Surely Walsall, Port Vale and Northampton would be classed as Midlands? Don’t quote any Pappa John’s Trophy North/South nonsense either 😂😂 as for the tweet you quote, what is it with Rovers fans and delusions of grandeur. Most of them clubs have better facilities than us. Makes me laugh.

Hartlepool the better team throughout Don’t think they were and certainly they weren’t through the whole season but I couldn’t care less who deserved it anyway. I’d rather have Torquay back in the league than Hartlepool even if they’d achieved it in the same style as we did at the shitpit when Gary Smart banged in our only shot on target on 87 mins.

Still feeling pretty sh** about being in L2 to be honest, although the money that is being spent in L1 we are probably in the best place to have a successful season.
