A way for people who can't commit to a season ticket to financially support the club and get priority tickets (so same as the old helpline?) and free delivery in the process.
Don't want it don't get it 🤷♂️

As yet the events etc have not been revealed. I suspect there will be fans forums with Joey taking questions. As well as others at the club. They will be for members only. Events ? Could be anything . Guest speakers ,activity days ,organised trips ,meals ...who knows.
I think some initial release of some of the events should be made known to encourage people to purchase.

Probably the same people moaning Wael isn't doing enough are complaining about paying £40....madness! Or the ones complaining about us accruing debt. AKA as the ones who moan about absolutely everything.

Probably the same people moaning Wael isn't doing enough are complaining about paying £40....madness! And as far as I can see, membership is not compulsory … there is the option to simply not buy it if you don’t like it!

You don't have to join even if you are a ST holder, you were given the option at the time you purchased your ST.

If I weren’t a season-ticket holder but attended a fair few games a season I would happily pay the £30 to enable me to have a good chance of getting a ticket if we drew a good cup tie & there was a limited amount of tickets available especially away. How many times over the years have you heard fans moaning that they know others who only go once in a blue moon get tickets when they themselves who attend fairly regularly couldn’t get one. I expect a few fans wish the membership scheme was in place a few years back when we had Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

I think SC membership got you priority but only ‘level 2’ - i.e. after tickets had already been on sale to ST holders and Helpline members (which is partly why I’ve always been a member of the latter while not having a ST). My only worry now is that loads more people will have first priority on tickets and that having a ST (which ironically I now have) will no longer be a safe bet for getting a ticket for ‘big’ away/cup games.

Reading back on it i think there needs to be more detail on what the ticketing situation is.... Its referred to as access, not priority and says its about getting tickets for the best parts of the ground, which would suggest home tickets. Says nothing about cup or aways....
More clarification needed for sure....

More clarification needed for sure.... You’re right and more clarity would be really good here. I big thing for me is how I get tickets for the games I really want to be get to (and now with added pressure of the kids wanting to go too). It’s not so much the cup games but popular away ones with limited allocations. Take for example Exeter away (really attractive game for me as includes a visit to family in Devon) - I now have a family ST (1 adult and 2 under 16s) and ticked the box for the free standard membership but am none the wiser if that gets me priority for 3 tickets in the away end at St. James’ next season.

So basically pay £40 for what you used to get as a SC member but free delivery. I am sure that when the Share scheme was announced there was Club Rovers scheme which also failed due to lack of interest. I do seem to recall a lot more social ( fundraising) events back then. Vitas trying to play darts was a classic!

Season ticket and Helpline members are in the priority 1 so you don't seem to be any worse position, although COVID cases on the rise again depending on when we play Exeter away we might not get any away ticket or, at best, a reduced allocation, anyway.

I'll email Tom Gorringe later for clarification on the situation.... There's no real value in discussing further until the deal is understood by all. He's usually decent at responding....
I'll keep you guys updated....

It looks like the 82'ers have been running a similar membership scheme for a few years (apologies for posting a link to their website!) www.bcfc.co.uk/news/forever-bristol-city-membership-launched-for-201819/
