£30 access to fans forumAnnoyed they came out with this before the formal announcement. But yeh, from next week you've all got to pay £30 to continue to use the forum. My Gaschat's PayPal details will be up on here shortly That got me too. How can the club offer access to an independent forum in this package, it’s not as if they did anything to set it up and the previous official forum was summarily shut. What cheek

If I weren’t a season-ticket holder but attended a fair few games a season I would happily pay the £30 to enable me to have a good chance of getting a ticket if we drew a good cup tie & there was a limited amount of tickets available especially away. How many times over the years have you heard fans moaning that they know others who only go once in a blue moon get tickets when they themselves who attend fairly regularly couldn’t get one. I expect a few fans wish the membership scheme was in place a few years back when we had Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Join helping. 2.50 pm and prizes in the draw. Best value of all

You’re right and more clarity would be really good here. I big thing for me is how I get tickets for the games I really want to be get to (and now with added pressure of the kids wanting to go too). It’s not so much the cup games but popular away ones with limited allocations. Take for example Exeter away (really attractive game for me as includes a visit to family in Devon) - I now have a family ST (1 adult and 2 under 16s) and ticked the box for the free standard membership but am none the wiser if that gets me priority for 3 tickets in the away end at St. James’ next season. prepare to be disappointed Given previous posts of yours, I’m not sure if you mean disappointment about tickets or the future of Bristol Rovers in general?! 😉

Best value of all Hi KP, I assume you mean Helpline, and if not I can still get a plug in!!, but the cost of Helpline is £2 per week or £104 per year.

Oh, regular events then. If I remember rightly, all questions had to be submitted prior to the event. I would certainly not be interested in attending such a controlled event but each to their own

Would definitely point people in the direction of Helpline to be honest.

Ok, Tom Gorringe got back within a day....
Hi Gregs,
Good to hear from you.
Having had quick read through the link you have sent I think a few people have got the list but for clarity the core points are as follows;
All season ticket holders have access to the standard membership for free and the gold membership for £10 The purpose is targeting those that with the support the club but can’t attend matches regularly. The ticketing priority will focus on home games where matches will be made available to members first, this enables them to benefit from the best seats and ensure there spaces for bigger games There may be priority for away games but this will always be secondary to that of season ticket holders Members will receive a pack in the post (not a leaflet) As mentioned, gold packs give free delivery on all retail orders for the year.
I think that covers everything but if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact.
Thanks for all of your support.
All the best,
Tom Gorringe Commercial Director

I attended the last forum and didn't need to submit my question beforehand, although if I did I can't see it's a big issue in any event the bigger issue is fan bothering to attend as there were only about 30 of who attended last time.

So how many £30 would you have had to have paid to get that ticket to Chelsea? (£30 per season x a few seasons) How much would that have made the Chelsea ticket? With nearly 4,000 s/t's already sold plus Helpline and SC members not that many? It looks like the 82'ers have been running a similar membership scheme for a few years (apologies for posting a link to their website!) www.bcfc.co.uk/news/forever-bristol-city-membership-launched-for-201819/ What's the bet the same people moaning about this will be moaning later in the year about how we're decades behind City 🤪

I would have assumed P1 is still ST and Helpline. New club membership P2 from the reply from TG. But who knows? Would be good to have it clarified. It would probably be key to people's choice of either helpline or club membership.

What's the bet the same people moaning about this will be moaning later in the year about how we're decades behind City 🤪 Whatever we do, we are now very much behind the 82. They are prem ready. It’s nothing to do with moaning, it’s fact. We can only dream of the ground and facilities that they have and an owner who is prepared to keep throwing money at them plus who is spiteful enough to derail any hint of progress at Rovers. You can call it moaning if it helps but there is no arguing with fact

Does it really matter in your day to day life or is it just for the banter with your 💩 mates ? Would you be happy if they were playing in the bottom tier alongside us in a crap ground , or would you only be happy if we were in the championship with a half decent stadium and a billionaire pumping in millions of pounds every season to tread water ?

I haven’t got a ST and attend about 10-15 home games a season and about 5-10 away games. I have purchased the Gold Membership at £40. Don’t expect anything more than they’ve said. I thought it was a good initiative for people like me who probably won’t get a ST yet want to help and do attend a fair few matches. Individual choice in the end. I’d say well done the club. UTG!
