You might not give a sh** about rights or the creep into a totalitarian society, but some of us do. View Attachment I didn’t say I don’t give a sh**. I said I don’t buy into conspiracy theories. The internet is awash with boll0x as is the media. Ironic that in April 2020 when I mentioned to people about coming vaccine passports the response was often "That's a conspiracy theory. They would never do that" and now in July 2021 it's often "I don't see a problem with it". The applied psychology from those in The Centre for Behaviour Change within SAGE has obviously been extremely effective.

The thing that makes me chuckle a bit is that people are against the vax passport system frightened that they are giving away too much information to the state whilst writing it from a smartphone or computer that would enable GCHQ to land a drone on your head if they so wished. The amount of information the government actually have on you probably would want to make you flush your phone down the toilet straight away. Personally I want to go back to as normal life as possible and have no issue proving having the vax to go into places. The thing that makes me chuckle is how some people can be so gullible and subservient to tyrannical policies.

Careful, they are watching you… on your phone, cctv, number plate recognition, bank card use, passport use, they (whomever you want “them/they to mean) already literally know your every move. It’s too late now!

Can you seriously see Rovers being part of these mythical tyrannical policies when normally they can't organise a p155 up in a brewer, the chances of them ever keeping a record of your NHS COVID records are slim at best.

They don't like giving football freedoms back easily either. Terracing(/safestanding, alcohol in grounds. Rovers are keeping social distancing in place and banning away fans post July 19th for no apparent reason at all. We will be at full capacity when the season starts, it's not anything really needs trialling.

Ahhhh I see! Well the Americans won’t need this system as they have been tracking people that have passed through Denver airport for years. Good way of getting the people that haven’t travelled I suppose. I’m all seriousness Pirate the government already know everything about you. Financial position, health records, housing status and you already have this thing that lets you travel called a passport. Maybe I am missing something obvious but I just don’t buy into all this stuff. You might not give a sh** about rights or the creep into a totalitarian society, but some of us do. View AttachmentSlightly off topic, sorry but this bugged me and I couldn't help myself. Jonathan Sumption is indeed Lord Sumption and he was indeed a Justice of the Supreme Court but he is not and never has been Lord Chief Justice. There is also no such thing as Lord Chief of Justice. You might recognise Lord Sumption - he is the chap who used to be my avatar on here.

In Boris and Javid we trust. Today's statement from the government trying to keep us all safe and back at work. Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that it is "vital" that the country "proceeds with caution", warning that the "pandemic is not over". Read More: What is staying and what is going after Freedom Day in England on July 19? COMMON SENSE BY SOMEHealth Secretary Sajid Javid said that it is "expected and recommended" that people should wear face coverings, unless exempt, in "enclosed spaces", in crowded public places and on public transport. The question is will the Mem be a crowded space if the anti vaxers keep the common sensors away? The club loses, the fans lose ' we all lose. Keep the faith the Club will bring common sense to attendence so we all can attend without dogma, fear and rage dominating. UTG I can't for the life of me see what the big issue is. Have a couple of injections on NHS and carry a card/app device with you to get into public places. Hardly asking people to go to war are they? Haha how come you're obsessed with war? It's only a national anthem we aren't declaring war..

When it was discussed on here, those were not the responses at all. That seems quite the extraordinary and convenient reply to an idea that was already much publicised and discussed. I'm assuming 2020 is a typo btw, or are you claiming that after 1 week of the 1st lockdown in 2020 you predicted that not only vaccines would emerge, but vaccine passports in football stadiums? If it wasn't a typo, again - evidence please.

Those opposed to vaccine passport I presume are opposed to a travel passport and don't travel abroad and driving license and don't drive. It's your choice you have your two jabs, get your passport and go to matches and get behind the team, at the same time protecting your fellow supporters as much as you can, or you don't and stay away.I don't like having the jabs or wearing my mask but I do want to get back to the Mem and support the team so I will get my jab passport , put my mask on and get behind the team. The jab reduces hospitalization and serious illness by over 95 percent. Sorry for accidentally liking my own comment.

Lord Simpson also wanted total freedom including none of the previous lockdowns, with UK citizens being left to make their own decisions re social distancing etc, he even believed herd immunity would have eventually worked, with any deaths being worth suffering once we obtained immunity, Brazil tried a similar policy with disasterious results.

Harsh to put everyone not having the jab in the whackadoo category. Not 1 person has bought such thing up on this thread.

I suppose there are two explanations for why the government has decided Covid passports might be necessary.
One is that they plan to introduce a totalitarian state by stealth alongside many other countries, and are riding on the backs of a worldwide pandemic, thanking their lucky stars that such a virus swept the world after the Chinese may or may not have deliberately created something that has killed hundreds of thousands of people.
The other is that infection rates are still rising and they've decided it's better to be safe than sorry, and therefore want to allow crowds to gather but only if they can show they are not infectious.
I wonder which is the more likely? Hmmm?

If it wasn't a typo, again - evidence please. No evidence that I can provide for the conversations I had with several friends and family. Back in April 2020, SchengenVisaInfo.com reported that a vaccine would for sure become mandatory for those wishing to travel throughout the Schengen Area once it was approved and available. Obvious to anyone doing any critical thinking that we would follow suit and then see vaccine passports inevitably introduced (despite denials by Bojo and ministers Gove And Zahawi et al).
