Just registered on the Welsh NHS app. Only allowing for special events at the moment. Clicked that option, hot my pass tells me on it under the barcode that it expires on the 15th July 2021. Further down the page says it's valied for a month! I'm assuming because Wales has not yet confirmed what is happening yet that further options are not yet available. Or is it the same in England, where are you baggins? Same in England! I might be late with this reply! UTG!

Feel for his wife and kids, letting the uneducated fool put them in danger by not taking the vaccine. Out of order. Your covid conspiracy theories backed up by 0 scientific evidence are out of order. How’s that for you.

It took them 20+ years to successfully develop a polio vaccine. Yep, and the average random access memory for computers was about 20 bytes. Today my phone has 12gigabytes. Dont forget to tie your horse up. Haha, good shot.

Some of the comments on this thread are embarrassing If you’re referring to the comments by people scraping the barrel to find reasons we all shouldn’t take vaccines then sure. No I was referring to comments like yours. Self righteous nonsense. Not everyone that is not taking a vaccine for the moment is down to conspiracy theories and some of the other ridiculous reasons I’ve seen and heard lately.

Just like malaria. Those countries without the malaria vaccine clearly have lower mortality rates don’t they. Oh hang on, no they don’t. That’s why you have the vaccine before going to malaria risk areas. COVID is currently a potentially fatal disease to all sectors of the population. Hopefully a combination of vaccines and a developed immunity will make it a less dangerous disease. When that happens it could become like the flu - dangerous to a few with underlying health conditions but manageable on the whole for society. But until that happens everyone should do all they can to keep themselves, their family, their friends and everybody else safe. And 90% of scientific research says get the vaccine. No COVID was downgraded from a HCID back in March of 2020. You say become like the flu and only dangerous to a few with underlying medical conditions and the elderly, can you tell me how that isn’t true currently? The fact that young people with no underlying health conditions are getting it and some are dying. The hospitalisation figures are skyrocketing again.

But to your point about the timelines of scientific development? You have, as have others, called into question the veracity of vaccine development because of the speed of its development and use. You then relate it to Polio etc without any reference to the facilities and the current laboratory environment within scientific research. Yes?

Also saw this. Also hit home:
Go to a cemetery. See all the baby graves there from before the 1950s & 1960s? Then, hardly any. That's when people started vaccinating their kids. If you are unsure, the answer is, literally, written in stone.

The fact that young people with no underlying health conditions are getting it and some are dying. The hospitalisation figures are skyrocketing again. The numbers of people under the age of 65 with no current underlying medical issues who have died are minuscule. 67% of people currently hospitalised have been double jabbed. Of the population who have the opportunity to be vaccinated, we currently have a rate of around 65% who have taken up that option. I do not dispute COVID, I do not dispute it can cause serious illness and in some circumstances death, and if I was able to be vaccinated I probably would chose to be to protect the more vulnerable but I do everything I can currently, wear mask, social distance and regular testing.

I don’t want a vaccine , my choice. You want a vaccine , your choice. I respect your views , you respect mine , simple as that. It really is that simple , I certainly won’t be shouted down by anyone for having a difference of opinion. i have no issue with your choice, what i have an issue with is you may want the same rights as people who are vaccinated. If any establishment wants proof of vaccination from you to protect either its staff or its customers, then you must accept the consequences of opting out of the vaccination programme As you often say Henbury, post of the day! Like you I have no issue with people who choose not to be vaccinated, it is their choice and they should be free to take it. I presume that when they take this choice, just like any other choice you opt to take in your life, you are prepared for the consequences and the unintended consequences. And if there are consequences, refusal of entry to any event, inability to access certain services then I would hope they would accept that they made the choice and so accept the consequences of their refusal. Fortunately we live in the UK and not China, NK or many other places where there is no choice over certain things. We do need to protect our freedom of choice but not at the expense of others. But in these exceptional circumstances then we take responsibility for our choices and that includes the consequences that follow on. UTG!

Although I'm not sure what your point is as if you are happy to wear a mask etc there will be no issue with you attending games at the Mem, although wear a mask will give you little protection.

You then relate it to Polio etc without any reference to the facilities and the current laboratory environment within scientific research. Yes? Yes. Because there are a few posts on here likening protection against other diseases/illnesses to covid. The vaccine has arrived extremely quickly, is not completely effective and had received emergency sign off. The other vaccines took years to deploy. I haven't read deeply onto it but had a look at the testing criteria a while ago and these things take time. This vaccine will take time too. There were 300 covid vaccines in various stages of testing last time I looked. I can see they are preparing a booster. Whilst people are suffering from side effects and the virus will mutate which will no doubt test the effectiveness further.
