Just seen Wael Teasing new additions Haha cheeky, I like that. As G&E said, if we let Anssi go then surely we need to bring in a back up keeper? We need 2 strikers realistically still. I’ll be shocked if we get them

James Norwood from Ipswich aged 30 and Paul Cook had probably offered him to Joey his mate. Banned recently drink driving but clearly a goalscorer at this level with Tranmere and scored fair few at Forest Green. Not so many at Ipswich. Might be worth signing. Whilst rumours of a player’s wages are often exaggerated on Internet forums and social media, Norwood is on a top end L1 pay deal and would unlikely fit in many lower league club pay structures. Salford and Wrexham could I daresay accommodate him, not so sure many others could including us…although I bet we’re frantically doing the sums as the deadline draws nearer. He’s also been missing a lot through injury which makes justification to pay those sums all the harder. Whoever signs him, assuming he leaves Ipswich, are going to have a large slice of his wages still paid for by Ipswich, it's similar with Harrison, whoever signs him will probably be the club who's prepared to contribute most towards his present annual salary at Pompey not take on the rest of his contract. Although I can't see Norwood wanting to move to Bristol now he's lost his driving license, unless he's still got a house locally from his time playing for FGR.

Just seen Wael Teasing new additions We’re buying some new pens. With so little movement from our players on Saturday, they were pretty stationary too. 😊

The latest form Bristol Live:
"Cheltenham are one of the clubs reportedly in for Ellis Harrison as well, although the Robins interest isn't believed to be as strong as Rovers."
That sounds promising and seems to contradict the suggestion that we're only looking to sign geratic players.

Jacob Blyth also released from his short term contract by Oldham.
6 foot 3 striker and 29.
Though he's not meant to be very good...so he'll fit right in!

So have Man United made a big mistake signing 36 year old Ronaldo, should Jimmy Anderson never play for England again because he's 39?. We have no idea of how fit these guys are so perhaps we should just wait and see, rather than assume that once your over 35 your not up to it. They could be world beaters and it would still be a bad idea to sign 7 players who are in their mid 30's in a desperate bid to gain immediate promotion. How sustainable is it to bring these guys in on one year contracts, and be left with a huge gap in the squad when they inevitably retire or their deal runs out? It's Wael's money but he's bonkers if he's funding these type of moves imo, reeks of short-termism. It may be short termism but if you said now we had promotion with these guys I would bite your hand off. Next season and staying in League one would be a nice problem. We can only dream!

I actually think this is Barton's plan get us promoted at all cost this season and then off to a job up north at the first opportunity. He will go all out to get this promotion on his CV and then leave us with a squad full of his players, in my view there is no longevity in what he is doing but of course there are some hurdles (of his own making) that he needs to overcome on the way.

Rumoured that we're bringing in George Lloyd tomorrow on loan from Cheltenham. Very underwhelming signing that 2 goals last season. Should be aiming further up the food chain for loanees than Cheltenham but would like their player called Sercombe who has a bit of class!!!!!!!!

Thought you've always blamed Yeovil's demise on their over reliance on the loan market? If we got promoted with the present squad only Rodman, Pitman and possibly Hughes and Coutts could be considered to old, replacing those, plus any oldies we sign this week, hardly seems a major task.

Seriously underwhelmed with this today … Probably not a surprise though. Underwhelmed with what the fact we haven't announced who we're signing tomorrow? There's just 4 L2 transfer showing on the BBC website today so it's not like we're the only club not announcing any transfers today.

Happy to accept it - Tomorrow all will be fine. …. Silly Me.
