Robbie Gotts to Barrow on a free could be a clever bit of business.
“On the press he is excellent, a typical (Marcelo) Bielsa player," Richie Wellens told the Evening Express.

What a shockingly bad ending to the transfer window. Underwhelming doesn't do it justice. A mediocre squad remains exactly that. If Barton has tried hard to find quality he has failed miserably. And the inept Westbrooke stays because no one else wanted him. Want to be proven wrong but on paper it's an abject effort.

It's hard to say how we've really strengthened today to be honest. Strengthened in depth perhaps.
Wish the three signing all the best in their Rovers careers. We desperately need a transfer 'gem' to be unearthed, so let's hope it's one of those three.

What on Earth Widdrington is playing at is beyond me … only one loan arranged. You should be embarrassed to draw a wage sir!

Playing the devils advocate here, but aren't most of the players Widdrington is supposed to loan out going to the National League and lower, which don't have their windows shut tonight? All the senior pros that we wanted to get rid of just had their contracts terminated like Baldwin and Ehmer. |

He had 18 months and 16 appearances under three managers from what I can tell.
