Surely you can appreciate the irony of alleging that somebody is an idiot whilst spelling a word wrong that was literally already used in the post you were replying to?  |

He had to wait 2•5 years for the last one to come to court and we all know the outcome of that. Me thinks a similar outcome for this one if it ever happens. |

Adjournment
9. A magistrates' court may adjourn the proceedings at any time. The court must balance the interests of justice when considering any application for an adjournment. The court cannot have hard and fast rules for the granting or refusal of adjournments.
10. A case should not be adjourned because civil proceedings are pending and may be prejudiced. If points which you could not reasonably have foreseen arise during a trial, you may ask for an adjournment to obtain further evidence, but the court will not readily accept such an application.
11. If a voluntary witness fails to attend at the hearing of the summons, you should request an adjournment and make an application for a witness summons. You should also be in a position to show that the witness promised to attend.
12. When a case is adjourned, you must ensure that you agree a new hearing date with the court and that the witnesses are told the new date. You should determine witness availability before agreeing to a new trial date.

Yes I remember her Instagram post. She said: “Whilst I wouldn’t normally comment on private matters, before the rumour mill goes into overdrive I’d like to make it clear there is absolutely no accusation by myself or anyone else that Joe has been violent or physical towards me. We consider this a private matter and will be making no further comment.”So she says that she is not making any formal complaint and nor is anybody else and they want to deal with the incident internally as a family. I guess that was before the CPS decided they could prosecute without the victim making a statement (the "victimless crime" aspect that was in the clumsy Rovers statement) |

That it’s been adjourned can’t be a good thing surely. Just more speculation, less certainty for BRFC as well as JB so it can’t be good for him, mentally, to have this hanging over him. Would it have been a lengthy hearing in a magistrates? Few witnesses to call and the police and CPS must surely have had time to prepare their case? Seems a strange decision.
Regarding the transfer window, will players be prepared to commit to a club where the manager may not be here? Money always talks I know but I think it makes the transfer window less certain as to players being prepared to come here. Not that that is important in the bigger picture against a charge of DV. But it does affect BRFC perhaps and that’s what we’re all here for.

There’s literally no way of knowing this though, it’s complete guess work. Nobody knows what footage the police have on bodycam, what his wife said on the call and when they arrived, the severity of the injuries etc. people are just jumping to whatever outcome they’d like to happen imo. This is all why today is a disaster for the club and could have done with a line being drawn either way. |

It’s interesting many believe it was definitely Mrs Barton herself who called the authorities to the property, on the night in question.
All the while, it’s almost completely forgotten how quickly & abruptly Clint Hill left the football club….if you recall.
