A waste of taxpayers money from day one. This was only ever taken forward by the police and CPS because it’s a politically sensitive subject and they wanted to be seen to take it more seriously after past criticism. JB was high profile and used as a pawn, there are far worse incidents never taken forward against your average Joe Bloggs type characters every day of the week.

As several of us on here many months ago said.
“If the CPS fail to call her as a witness for the prosecution it would be an unfair trial.”
Todays judge has stated that today and thrown the whole case in the bin.
Another waste of tax payers money by the CPS and the metropolitan police.
Perhaps they can now get back to investigating themselves.

A good discission all round, in order to get a conviction you have to have clear cut evidence which in this case was clearly lacking
Wether he did or didnt do it, is irrelvant in this case and only the Bartons really know what went on.
It hasnt effected their marriage which IMO speaks volumes.
My only hope is they both learn from this experience
