Just got in after watching at a bbq and firstly what a win !
This was the game out of the four I could see us losing and after 2 minutes I’d have bitten off any ones hand for a point.
Secondly what a cracking game of football between two sides who were clearly in form and have gelled into very good teams.
It was end to end but we were the more decisive where it mattered and I think , I hope that will spur us on to win the remaining three games where as Port Vale will hopefully be down after that and drop more points.
I said after Tranmere 1-1 it wasn’t over and if we could win our next two then we’d have the momentum to go on and win promotion , I didn’t think we would win both but we have and things can change quickly in football.

They’ll all be hard from now, just like the last few matches, it doesn’t matter who you play because so much is riding on it. But a great win today will give confidence esp after the first 5 minutes. Great character to come back and control the match from their goal to the end. They had a few good periods but it was well managed by us. Over the last 3/4 matches I’m more and more confident that automatics are at least an evens bet. And if it’s the play offs then no one will want to play us. UTG! |

City fans on OTIB crying that Billy is carrying us to promotion. Didnt mind when Tammy was saving them from relegation eh! Only got him because of the Barton connection,hopefully that will hurt the poor sods as well seeing he is the demon seed. Oh forget that,they don’t care about us anyway 😂 😂 |

From Vale's forum .... Hope Bristol go up if we don't as I don't fancy playing these in the play offs. Bristol play some nice football but then have that joey Barton sh1tehouse style at the same time. Dirty buggars at times. They are a good team and will probably go up. Shame they're so dirty, really not sure it's necessary when they've got better players than everyone else. Their captain was running the ref. I’d rather we play this way and run the ref then lose games and get walked over like naive teams we’ve had in the past! Totally agree, a lot of teams playing this way for a long time now which has cost us so many points in past seasons. Don't agree with it personally but it's 'part of the game' now it seems. |
