Right then ladies, gents, boys and girls. Today represents an absolutely monumental day for the club for more than one reason!!
1) first and foremost, I really hope we give DC the love and respect he deserves for what he did for this amazing club and secondly for the horrendous period in his life he and his family has just been through. We need to show him that whilst he will manage others, he will always and forever have a special place in our hearts.
2) to the matter in hand. A huge game against PV... On a great run themselves, but as this season has progressed and the squad JB assembled has started to gel and gain in confidence, we really have no one to fear. We have one of the best GK in the league, one of the best defenders and in Billy undoubtedly the best talents in this league.
We have gone from strength to strength, commanding games in terms of possession and unlike in previous seasons, are creating chances a plenty.
We have to go for this, only a win will do if we still want to consider autos as such I really think Thomas should start instead of Nics.
An attacking trio of Billy, Evans and Thomas... There won't be any better in the league...
Keep it right at the back, use pace going forward and we will get chances to score... We just have to be more clinical...
Wish I could be there, it makes for a fantastic advert for lower league football..

Recent games have shown that we are able to dominate games in terms of possession and play some of the best football I have seen at The Mem. We all know that we have individual players with the skill set to change a game. The issue has been putting the ball in the net. The 'proposed' selection of (fellow geriatric - no offence, mate) Leon Clarke to start against Salford was significant. Collins has done his best to substitute as a central striker, but with limited success. You can't fault his work rate or passion for the cause. PV is such a massive game for us. Ryan Loft (Centre Forward, age 24, height 6'3" - hero status pending!) where are you? Any chance that you could put in a shift? UTG.

Think you can safely assume that the respect for DC asked for by Goose is a given and he will get the greeting he deserves, we will also show him due humility and be humble when Rovers have come away with 3 points which I am utterly convinced that we will do. I do not know why but I have never been more confident that Rovers will come out on top today, I just think they have put so much effort into getting into this position that they aint going to let it slip now, Come on Rovers! the prize is yours, grab it!

Here goes. What a huge day!
Iām seeing this one as a bit of a āfree hitā tbh. With points dropped and others still on good runs, autos have gone from possible to outside chance, so our main aim is play offs (4th or 5th). However if we do win this, it is very much still on.
Vale will have a bit too much for our excellent defence I fear, 2 goals will be needed to get anything from today.
With our array of attacking talent there is no doubt we can out score them, but it needs to click like it has only done on a handful of occasions.
Letās enjoy the bigs days. 2-2. UTG.
