Just trying to enjoy todays occasion as we are now in a position I never thought remotely likely at the end of last year.Probably end up sh**ting myself as usual mind 😆

Well, they don't come any tougher than this.
1 defeat in their last 17 matches and 9 wins from their last 10 games. The only team to take anything off Vale in their last 10 games is Exeter, who managed a 0-0 draw. They've also faired well against the top sides.
If we can return with 3 points today it will easily be our best win of the season in my opinion.
A draw would actually be a fantastic result in other circumstances, unfortunately, a point today would not be enough in our quest for a top 3 finish.
Our away form has been decent but not spectacular, our last 5 on the road W2, D1, L2.
However, play our best and we are capable of getting a result.
Likely to be a very close game settled by one mistake or one moment of magic.
Really can't call this one.

Just saw they’ve got Newport and Exeter last two games.
IF we can beat them today then I think it’s likely they’d drop at least 2 points from those last two games.

Then use Thomas as an impact sub if required, which he's better at than Nicholson. Fingers crossed everybody is fit from Monday. |

This is possibly our hardest game of the season. A draw would normally be a good result but only a win will do if we are to have any chance of autos. Let's just go for it - win or bust!!! Would rather the point than the risk. That would leave us 5 points behind with 3 to play though, pretty much writing off autos |

A win and autos are still a chance. Especially with Vale playing Exeter on the final day. A draw and a playoff spot should be a formality. A loss and it will still be a battle on to finish in the playoffs. Season defining day in a way. Average final points over the last 12 FULL league two seasons. Pos...pts 1.....89 2.....83 3.....82 ---------- 4.....79 5.....76 6.....73 7.....71 ---------- 8.....69 9.....67 I think we would have to win all four remaining games to get top three. That would also be 82 points. Typical Rovers would be to win today and then loose at Rochdale! Interestingly the average for 7th is 71 points. We are going to need a few more points than just one to sneak 7th place! I think 76 would be enough. |

Typical of the police, wait until matchday mid morning to decide to do that and then a few minutes later common sense prevails. Makes you wonder what they have been doing for the last week or so or dare I say the last nine months since the fixtures were announced |
