Suppose you've burned all your £50 notes and p155ed up the local postbox to show your disgust at the alleged situation? My grass needs cutting if you want to work over the jubilee weekend btw. |

Focussing entirely on the present… The premier league is a competition in plastic support from people who ‘support’ a team in a city they’ve never visited before let alone seen the club play at home. 5 or 6 big uns stand out. I hope they all lose but I hope some lose more than others. Liverpool just about pip Man City for me. Imagine if these supporters had to watch their football club slip out of the football league or possibly even out of existence. That really would be ‘agony’. I’m not sure the football is even that entertaining at that level. Extremely defensive stuff. Agree with every word except I’d much rather Man City beat “Learpaul’ who have more fans in Bristol than either us or 82! |

why on earth would you want West Ham to win that could allow Liverpool to win the title. Their fans booed on Saturday but seem to forget the Heysel Stadium disaster when Liverpool fans rioted killing 39 Jueventus supporters and injuring six hundred. 14 Liverpool fans were jailed for manslaughter, English teams were banned from Europe, the worst day in English football. Liverpool FC have nothing to be proud about. They bang on about Hillsborough where no one deliberately went out to cause trouble or injury but forget their own awful failings. Must admit that has always given me a bad taste in the mouth. Hillsborough so very very sad but Heysel seeming to be conveniently forgotten over the years even though it was directly caused by a large number of Liverpool fans acting like thugs. Untrue but I’ll stop there. Too much personal involvement. Can we keep this to Rovers related stuff. UTG! |

Mate is a big Chelsea fan and attends many games but also joins me at the Mem sometimes.All the politics around Chelsea has prompted him to say to me,'You don't know how lucky you are supporting Rovers'. Radio Stoke full of the Vale play off at Swindon.Awful traffic situation getting there and they are moaning that the away end isn't covered so they got soaked.Just imagine having no cover for away fans in the rain!!!
Also,they have installed goal-line technology for the second leg so that's something I didn't know about.

I remember going there a while ago seeing a defeat with Andy Gurney being sent off and looking at their nice new stand going up. |

They were also the team that just lost out when Lambert scored that late winner at Hartlepool to put us in the play-offs. Lot of 'what ifs' in football... Home game against Stockport that season was called off due to unfit pitch. Which allowed extra days rest for the FL cup semi against the sheeds. Rovers won the rearranged fixture with what looked like an offside goal from Stuart Nicholson. |

football ,like life , is full of 'sliding door moments', its taken all those tears for Stockport to recover from that Ricky goal! Goodness were we ever lucky to get back first go!
As for the play offs, no one team in any league have any great advantage, Forest prob in best shape, all to play for, my prediction, Forest, Wycombe, Swindon!
