Everton fans on the pitch today as well, they're probably going to clamp down. I just hope they don't bring back fences! Even the commentators said about caging fans in. That will never happen.

Well I am glad DC and port vale knocked out Swindon, DC gave us some good years when he was at the Mem Garner gave us nothing apart from contributing to our relegation. I live in Wiltshire and all season have been saying to Swindon fans we would land up above them, reasoning being we had a better squad, earlier in the season they laughed at me but who has had the last laugh now.

Patrick Vierra being goaded by an Everton fan on the pitch tonight turns and kicks him. He is then jostled by several fans. Memories of Brian Clough. What is it with these idiots. Only answer is to ban running on the pitch and if it happens points deductions. I did notice a few Everton fans then gathered around Vierra and sort of escorted him through the crowd.

I've been thinking about these league 2 playoffs and I couldn't call it as I think all 4 are closely matched but I want to put my neck on the line so here it goes... Mansfield vs Northampton - Northampton ended the season in better form but ultimately have a big mental barrier to overcome after losing out on the last day of the sesaon in unfortunate fashion really. I think Mansfield might edge it. Port Vale vs Swindon - 2 ex gaffers of ours in charge. I feel Garner's Swindon have played some good stuff this season to pay them their due but I'm not sure Garner has the personality to get across to these players to do it in a knockout format like this where the pressure will be on. I think they might crumble. DC, on the other hand has come through a very difficult period in his life and I think the players will run through a brick wall for him. Port Vale had a bad spell of 3 defeats on the spin leading in to the Exeter game but that win should give them a lot of confidence and I think DC returning could give them the boost they need to get over the line. He also has playoff winning experience (hehe!) and I think Mansfield could run out of steam after having so many games in a short space of time at the end of the season. I will be so pleased for the bloke if this does prove to be the case. Feel free to bump the above if I look a tit as both matches could easily go the other way. Bump! I've got the finalists right, just hope I have the winners right too!

Fences were removed for safety reasons and I can't see them coming back. The justice system need to clamp down on the ring leaders of pitch invasions especially those that commit assault, give out more prison sentences and banning orders. Should not be to difficult as most are on ctv and some plastered across national tv, what idiots.

Wow, that was a great penalty shootout, and nice to see Swindon lose to be fair. The scenes at the end sound horrible and I didn't see much of it.

DC prob not in the right frame of mind, understandably so. Has he rushed himself back? Feel sorry for him if he will miss the final (if they get there). www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/port-vale-swindon-darrell-clarke-7105219"I want to apologise. I shouldn't have done what I did on the touchline. I apologise to Swindon and Dion. They're a good club, he's a good player. I don't know what came over me. I've had an emotional time. It's the first time I've been sent off. "As for being proud of the club, the owners, the players, the staff, they've given everything and I thought we fully deserved to go through. "They're a fantastic possession-based team. Ben's (Garner) got them playing some cracking football. We knew we had to get in their faces. I thought we had the best of chances - and to be two down in the shoot-out and win, I'm so proud." He added: "It's hard to put in words the amount of love I've got from my staff, players and owners. It's hard to say without sounding corny but the support I've had after losing one of the dearest thing in my life has been overwhelming. "We've got one more game to go against Mansfield, which is fitting because it's where my eldest daughter came from. Nigel Clough is a great man. They're a good club, it's the town where I was born. It'll be an emotional day but I'm looking forward to the final."

These "cage them in" left wing commentators, seem to have forget what happened at Hillsborough, disgraceful.

Now that is the way to respond to Mckirdy and his antics. We'll never know if Mckirdy sees that and gets wound up or thinks fair enough. Never sure whether Mckirdy responds to fans abuse or starts it off himself with his antics but reading forums of previous clubs he really doesn't help himself. Would be interesting to know his reaction to the pitch invasion. Regarding laughing at the penalty it was either laugh, cry or wind up the fans more. Just maybe he was thinking 'karma'

Wouldn't be surprised if he actually missed it on purpose, judging by his reaction of laughing after he skied it

Pitch invasion to celebrate what? They haven't won anything yet. We ran onto the pitch at Rochdale? Wycombe? Etc. And we hadn't won anything! All clubs, us included, need to understand that pitch invasion is wrong and unacceptable
