So who do we want to win tomorrow? Seeing Sunderland fail again would be funny but that would be tough two fixtures for us. A Sunderland win and we get the joys of Wycombe again.

Yes I’d like Sunderland to go up for the same reasons.

We don't play the crowd, wycombe have been in the Championship more recently.they are a average top ten team in div 1.

Fair play to Wycombe they have been in a great place the past 3 years but they are still a tiny club who will drop like a stone if their manager leaves.

Not sure Port Vale will get any national neutral support at Wembley after the disgusting scenes by their fans as seen on national tv. DC hasn’t helped the cause either. And yes I know he’s apologised and suffered a significant traumatic loss this year but he’s not helped himself with his touchlne ban. The EFL have to act now and hopefully the Notts Forest fan being gaoled this week has set a precedence.
Sorry but it’s Mansfield now for me at Wembley

Could the EFL enforce a team to play the following 3 games behind closed doors. At home no fans except those the opposition bring. In the case of playoffs. The offending club either getting no tickets for wembley or a very small number...ie 2000.
This would be for if an incident occurs . A trouble free ,joyous and respectful pitch invasion would be fine (if the occasion was deemed acceptable for one ).
? ? ?
Im not a fan of too many rules ,just wish people acted better of their own accord.

Not sure the clubs themselves should be punished that heavily and thus have to spend highly significant amounts of extra funds they don't have, to protect themselves against their own idiotic contingent of fans. Throw the book at the offenders in my mind, although I completely understand that it's far from straightforward to police this.

I would agree and no one wants to see to many rules put in place BUT the continuation of the freedom we enjoy in this country , whether at sports events or any other walk of life relies on folk respecting that freedom and behaving in a civilised manner, if those freedoms are abused as seems to be the case on ever increasing occasions in all walks of life, then the inevitable result will be legislation and some curtailment of those freedoms, will it not?

I guess the clubs have an obligation to safeguard the opposition team and staff. Therefore when these incidents have occurred the host club have failed to keep their guests safe.(?)

Who are we cheering on today in the Sunderland v Wycombe final ?
It’s gotta be Sunderland surely? I think there will already be enough ‘big’ clubs in the division and it would be good to see one gone .

Not the keenest on Wycombe and as you say if Sunderland go up thats a big club not fighting at the top end of league one next season, but its a cracking away day that I missed out on last time and you’d imagine a big home gate for us when they come to town too.

Good point , I’ve not been to their new stadium. Went to Roker park years ago so it would be nice to go if they stay down .

Just seen Lampards interview. "You can't chain fans to seats. As long as they behave let them have their moment" Could stewarding be improved? Very much so. At Port Vale it was impossible to stop the invasion, this will happen again. Stewards should have been in front of the away end and around Swindon players. A lot less area to cover Lots of Vale fans goading Swindon, they shouldn't have even got close. FGR invasion at the mem. Stewards should have been around the FGR penalty box straight after the final whistle. Job done. As for the goading from both sides, grow up Great clip doing the rounds from the Scunthorpe end on 7th May. Fans were either celebrating or commiserating with Scunthorpe supporters. The problem is that stewards are not allowed to do what is necessary. These coked up stone island morons would plead assault if a steward even looked at then funny. At the Scunthorpe game it was proper Rovers fans who sorted the idiots out. They would have been appropriately dealt with and no one would have seen a thing.

Your last sentence? what is a ‘proper Rovers fan’ and what do you mean by ‘appropriately dealt with’ . Thanks.

Your last sentence? what is a ‘proper Rovers fan’ and what do you mean by ‘appropriately dealt with’ . Thanks. A proper Rovers fan is one who understands that invading the pitch during a game could have had serious consequences for us. They put their enjoyment of the moment aside to help out the stewards because others were too selfish to do so. Appropriately dealt with meant physically moving people out of the way with minimum force where required. Something the stewards seemed unwilling or unable to do themselves. I suspect you knew what I meant but wanted to make it seem like I was condoning violence .
