Your last sentence? what is a ‘proper Rovers fan’ and what do you mean by ‘appropriately dealt with’ . Thanks. A proper Rovers fan is one who understands that invading the pitch during a game could have had serious consequences for us. They put their enjoyment of the moment aside to help out the stewards because others were too selfish to do so. Appropriately dealt with meant physically moving people out of the way with minimum force where required. Something the stewards seemed unwilling or unable to do themselves. I suspect you knew what I meant but wanted to make it seem like I was condoning violence . Thank you. However I did not know what you meant…hence why I asked. Out of interest did you go on the pitch at all? Thanks.

I do not take issue with peaceful celebration on the pitch but only once the game has concluded.

Not sure Port Vale will get any national neutral support at Wembley after the disgusting scenes by their fans as seen on national tv. DC hasn’t helped the cause either. And yes I know he’s apologised and suffered a significant traumatic loss this year but he’s not helped himself with his touchlne ban. The EFL have to act now and hopefully the Notts Forest fan being gaoled this week has set a precedence. Sorry but it’s Mansfield now for me at Wembley always been Mansfield for me, they PV fans are horrible, been saying this all along even b4 the Swindon game

Without doubt ! It’s not really about ‘ admiration ‘ I just feel so desperately sorry for what he has been though .💙

They beat us on the final day, so we were relegated from the league Northampton avoided relegation by winning and Scunthorpe were promoted to league one. It's funny how these things come back around 8 years later.

Could the EFL enforce a team to play the following 3 games behind closed doors. At home no fans except those the opposition bring. In the case of playoffs. The offending club either getting no tickets for wembley or a very small number...ie 2000. This would be for if an incident occurs . A trouble free ,joyous and respectful pitch invasion would be fine (if the occasion was deemed acceptable for one ). ? ? ? Im not a fan of too many rules ,just wish people acted better of their own accord. Chelsea fans were banned from all away fixtures around 1977/78. They travelled in numbers to the majority of away grounds, and the police let them in, as it was easier to have them contained in one place rather than roaming around the city centre. Covid rules didn't stop Liverpool and Leeds fans gathering outside of their respective grounds, it's the way people are these days I'm afraid, too many think that the laws don't apply to them.

I hope that Port Vale do it for DC.

My 9-year old daughter was terrified when she saw a lad get punched from behind from someone twice his size, innocently walking back to the station. It took a lot of persuasion for her to come again.

Every club has a few idiots (including ours) that do these things, but it shouldn’t label their entire fan base.
Personally, I’d like Mansfield to win 👍🏾

Who are we cheering on today in the Sunderland v Wycombe final ? It’s gotta be Sunderland surely? I think there will already be enough ‘big’ clubs in the division and it would be good to see one gone . Sunderland for me. Wycombe have had their day in the sun. Sunderland have been lingering at a lower level for long enough. As funny as it makes Sunderland till I die. (Are they even still making that?)

But there's nothing like seeing a Club that believes by right they should be higher than the results show fail.

I imagine it's going to be very emotional for DC either way.
A Mansfield lad born and bred, played over 170 games for them, think his daughters were born there as well.

There is no team out there that will want to lose, if it was the other way round we would want to relegate them, no need to hate them for that reason

We were relegated because Torquay weren’t interested in giving Northampton a competitive game. They were safe and sent their loan players back early including the striker from Spurs who had such an imact on them
