I suspect we’ll have to wait quite late into the window to see if we can have Taylor back on loan, do we gamble and wait it out or look for a replacement now? Hoping Joey has it under control … not convinced Alfie is the answer. I think we should bring in some experience as well … surely won’t hurt. I am totally convinced that Calamity Kilgour is not the answer to our centre back predicament. We should have got rid at the same time as Hapless Harries.

Looked leggy to say the least, every single one of them. No shocks Joey kept the starting XI out there for turning in such a poor performance. A couple playing themselves out of the managers plans, than playing themselves into it!

Wouldn’t worry too much about the Bath result, we’ve just had a tough week training away in the Portuguese heat so bound to look abit leggy.
I’m more concerned that we are still 4/5 players away from a good side, and we can’t afford to leave it late and get off to a slow start like last season.

Maybe 2 quite soon.

Nothing to worry about, just a dead leg. I mean, his leg is DEAD. DEAD. There's no coming back from that. Joking aside that's a relief!

What's the point in Barton spending £50K(?) on Loft in one transfer window, then showing him the door during the next window?

Spotted Gamba Cole (Ben from The Outlaws) at the game in a Rovers top. Didn't realise he was a gashead!

Lofty scored, didn’t stop working, few nice touches, plenty didn’t come off but then the very same could be said for Evans, Collins & the woeful Harry Anderson, out of the attacking players tonight.

From JB "I still think I’m six – and tonight has made me think possibly seven – away from being happy and in the course of that we will probably lose three or four as well" "I think we need a left-back, or we certainly need to firm that position up. We need a right-sided centre-half, we need at least two more midfielders and probably three on the frontline. "We’ve lost Sammy Nicholson, Luke Thomas and Elliot Anderson and we haven’t replaced those as yet" In his post-match interview with Rovers' media team at Bath, Barton said some members of his squad were "playing for their careers" with the Gas. He expanded on that point when asked by Bristol Live if players could leave in the coming weeks if they do not take their chance to impress.
"Yeah, I think so," he said. "We’ve still got the group building and by the time you get to the end of pre-season and start getting into the season, your starting XI should start to firm up.
"There will be a bit of wiggle room in the market, we’re aware we’ve got work to do and that means players in and players out. Pre-season is always an audition for players who maybe haven’t played the minutes they wanted to play last season.
"You can see from Harvey Saunders nicking two and Johnny Marquis nicking two, we’ve got competition right throughout the squad. Lofty gets on the scoresheet tonight, Azza scored the other day in the Melksham game.
"We want the strongest team we can going into League One and we won’t carry any passengers."

Mind you he aid the same last season about players playing for their future! At the Bath game can only assume Kilgour is the one under threat and maybe Loft if he has changed his mind on him.
At the other game can only imagine Westbrooke and the youngsters.

I think Loft is right in JB's plans. I think the outs are more likely to be loans for the younger/fringe players. Not sure we need to lose anyone permanently. Obv Westbrooke, but I am open to him giving it a good go. Sounds like he was involved a fair bit last night.
