If a person buys a seat ,turns up then chooses to stay in the bar...fine. How about if a season ticket holder who doesnt turn up or notify the club (so resale can occur) gets billed the difference between the match day price of the seat and the season ticket game price. Also ,if a person fails to turn up or notify the vlub for resale 5 times in a season they lose their priority to renew the seat the following season. Let's hope I don't have any holidays, family issues or my own medical issues that means I may miss 5 games then. I buy a season ticket with the intention I'll get to as many games as I can. Never not gone as I couldn't be bothered. If I can't get to the game I try and hand my ticket to a friend/relative who can and just ask for less than the ticket value. Is this officially allowed? No. Is it really an issue? No

So I'm punished for not turning up 5 times without notifying the Club? Even though I've paid one of the highest prices for a Ticket in the Ground, up front, just because someone fancies upgrading and wants a seat? How about no. Or maybe someone could make use of that seat because they are unable to stand. Nice to know that Gas spirit is still alive and well.

I have a season ticket card and, living so far away, there will be a few games I can’t attend (most will be midweek). I would love to be able to let someone else have my place when I can’t attend, either free of charge or for the club to re-sell. Unfortunately, I’m not aware of a mechanism for doing this.
That said, I’m never likely to miss a sell-out game so wouldn’t ever be depriving someone of the opportunity to get to an important/big match.

If they are unable to stand it's a risk turning up hoping there's a seat free?

It's rare for the South Stand to completely sell out, if there are any fans who need a seat as can't stand for 90 mins. Although now the club has the ability to use e-tickets I'm not sure why they can't offer to resell season tickets on a match by match basis.

I’ve been a season ticket holder in the east stand for many years now but for a few different reason have missed every home game so far! Lincoln will be my first! And hopefully I won’t miss anymore. Utg
as a side note I bought my wife a season ticket for the east Terrence, she hasn’t received a card or even an e ticket for the Morecambe game so did not even attend… we weren’t best pleased frankly

If they are unable to stand it's a risk turning up hoping there's a seat free? I only dropped into the Welly for a couple, next minute I’m battling gravity. To be fair I don’t go very often, so it can turn into a big day out. #PI$$TANK Hopefully my mate’s got me seats for the Fleetwood game.

Its still a privilage to have the opportunity to have a discounted seat price in a limited seating stadium. Not punished ,just a recognition someone else might attend more than 80% of the time. The person isnt being banned or denied the opportunity to buy a season ticket. They just have to join the free for all rush. Besides i didnt think we were into the old boys network anymore (?) Its a business isnt it (?) In a 30,000 stadium it doesnt matter so much...in a 8000 home capacity it might.

Would it be a catastrophy to contact the club if you (or anyone rlse ) couldnt make a game or pass a ticket on ,so the ticket could be resold ? Especially if part of that money went to you.

I've held my seat for 15 years, I think after the amount I pay for it I should be allowed to miss a few games without having the guilt of not giving the opportunity to someone else to sit there. I'm not sure where you're getting "old boys network" from, or why? I also think the chances of a scheme like you're suggesting actually working, is zero.

Don't get me wrong, we have always had minor hiccups now and then, but reading some of the posts since Ticketmaster were introduced, are shocking!
I miss Clare and Kay days where you actually met a face representing the club you could recognise when you purchase a ticket!
Arguably, they done a better job.

I dealt with Clare during the close season, as I needed help in getting my ticket sorted - excellent, as always. I will no doubt miss some games due to health reasons, although I do know somebody who will gladly make use of my ticket when I am unable to attend (no charge).

Quite a number of East Stand seats now on sale for Saturday. Back two rows of Block A and 20 or so in block C must be unwanted by hospitality
