Hi All, After my successful 'outing' at the Valley, and far to much food and alcohol on Christmas Day, I'm back, to hopefully continue mine (and the gas) unbeaten run in the league. All of this subject to a safety inspection, of course! Wycombe will be tough to beat and I expect Hanlan to want to put 'one over us', but I think we'll squeak another 2-1, although with Wycombes habit of 'turning over' the bigger sides, it's not going to be easy. Think the side will be similar to Charlton, maybe with John Marquis starting in place of Luke McCormick with Aaron playing behind him and Coburn. Probably both Sam Finley and Lofty will be on the bench ready to to start their returns. UTG

Sat in A&E since 5pm yesterday will Mrs Badengas so plenty of time to think about this.
One to win if further proof was needed that we are going up.
1-0 Gas

Wycombe defend well. Kept Ipswich out despite 70% possession or something. So it will be tight. 0-3 to the gas!
Think Finley may be back in the line up, possibly Hoole for Sinclair too.

I can't see Marquis replacing McCormick as that would leave us short of a CM, I can Marquis having to settle for a place on the bench again and either McCormick or Finley starting alongside Coutts in midfield.

Comfortably beat Portsmouth and then Ipswich at home in their last two games. Watched the pompey game on Sky and they skinned them. This is not an easy game, we will do well to get a point in my opinion.

Had a dream last night we were beating nondescript teams 3-0 for fun and the score lines were flattering on the opposition.
Win today to line us up for ending the year on a massive high note against Exeter.

The fact Ipswich had 70% of possession hardly suggests Wycombe are anything but a score a goal and defend side.

Apparently Wycombe are very comfortable off the ball and dangerous on the counter, they also play a high press. Todays game worries me a bit, they’ve got some real quality and are in better form than us. Would be delighted with a point tbh

If we can get ahead, I don't see them as the most dynamic to come back.
I can see 3-0 coming in

After finally laying the ghost of Valley after 64 years we can certainly do these cheating barstewards today. Anything seems possible with this current Gas team. Cheats 1 Gas 2 COYB!

Would love to get the 3 points but our form over the last 6/10 games is almost identical and they do have home advantage. I think we'll get a point but if one team were to win it, I'd think it's more likely to be us because we score more goals and with Jm's return to form and with Collins and Coburn, we're likely to get goals!

1 2 Marquis and Beefy. Expect shothousery of the highest order, they will roll around time waste and be very annoying, UTG.

10 years since the great Adams Park con, karma in the shape of a 1-3 win for the gas would be the only fair result today.

They’ve since had championship experience and I see them as a strong club now. They have come far in a short time. Sentiment out the window now - let’s smash them
