Heās out there pepper spraying all those lefties Tell you what the police get stuck in over thereš®š® The Police are a civil force whereas the Gendarmes are a military force and your right they take no crap. They certainly don't have a problem cracking your head open with a baton whereas the UK police would be dancing the Macarena .

Still remember the sheep burning from the early 90s. Did you take along your mint sauce ? Ha ha! Not my taste, though and I recall it was when oil prices were going up sharply. My history teacher quipped that the price of sheep burning was going up.

Corbyn being blocked from standing as a Labour candidate, likely to stand as an independent.
Worked for Ken Livingston. Hope Islington is a little more thoughtful.

Corbyn has been harshly treated by the moderates in the Labour party. I think he might have been guilty of being slow or afraid to crack down on some of his more extreme followers who were indirectly or directly anti Semitic, but there's surely no suggestion he was himself like that? Maybe that's reason enough to get rid of him for some people, but it seems a tough punishment to me. He was a faithful servant of the party for a long time and led it well for a while, even if his views were never going to be appealing to middle England. A censure and warning would have worked I think. It's not as if he was ever going to get into power. I don't know. Maybe I'm wrong. It has been known.

Nothing against him, just he came across as a wet fanny.

I'm with you, always struck me as a politician stuck in the 1930s,nothing against him personally, get the sense that Starmer is a "trophy" leader likes to have something up on the wall to prove he's in charge. It's an immature way to lead and speaks volumes of his own vulnerability.
