Is this team any better than the team that got relegated? Is this the team joey said would make us proud? This team is significantly better than the team that got relegated. I'd go as far to say that we have 8-10 players who are better than our best player the season we went down. |

Not sure GK is the issue here - Not sure any keeper could manage behind our defence at the moment. Belshaw had some brilliant and some dreadful moments, Balcombe has done much the same. Until the defence and midfield tighten up and we get back to scoring changing the keeper feels like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic to me. I don’t think the keeper was ever an issue and it was wrong to bring in Balcombe with a three match clause. He’s no better than Bellshaw so what was the point. Bellshaw at least has prescience which we seem to be missing atm. I don't think we'll ever know the answer to that question, clearly something warranted Balshaw being dropped, I can't see JB now accepting he was in the wrong and recalling him on Tuesday |

That's harsh and not really relevant to DrF's point above. He is correct, some have actually stated they wanted us to lose if it led to JB's departure. You are correct. I'm one of them and have been for a very long time. There are 2 ways of being rid of Barton. Being very successful or losing lots of games. Either suits me so long as he's gone. I’d definitely prefer the first option wouldn’t you?. |

We're in poor form yes, but for me personally we are so far removed from any half-legitimate conversation on whether Barton should go or not.

We've some strange so called fans if they are seemingly content for us to be relegated, as that will surely happen if we keep losing, just to rid us of the manager. For me personally, that's a trade I would take. Its my opinion that we would be better off without him. I've held this view for a very long time and nothing has changed my mind yet. I would argue that its strange for people to want him at the club. Happy clappy "the manager can do no wrong" support is also an option. I realise I am currently still in the minority. |

That should give some of the terminally dull who secretly enjoy us losing while Joey Barton is manager, great solace. For the rest of us, we'll not expect much out of Tuesday, but will enjoy the win next Saturday. UTFG and happy birthday baggins old fruit. 👍🏴☠️🍺 Yep. Pretty happy with how it's going. No beginner's luck then...I haven't read all the posts so apologies if this has already been said but looking for the positives: Anderson gives us that bit of grit and intelligence we have been missing and Bogarde looks a real prospect. He has to start next time.

You think I like feeling like this about my club? Some people are okay with having Barton as manager and it’s baffled me since day 1. I don’t agree that I want us to lose, I’m happy for us to win but I haven’t been to the mem since Barton turned up. If we were to go on a bad run of form that saw us get rid then I’d be happy - again, not wanting us to lose, but at least I’d be happy with going to the mem again. Unfortunately anything I post I just get the same three or four faces reply to me with nonsense that I’ve never said. I understand where you’re coming from but they won’t. |

The team was poor, but it was doing better under Garner and Tisdale then when Barton took over. |
