Gas v Imps match day thread

I don't tend to shout it, because I realise it's not what people want to hear on this forum but I am OK with taking ownership of my own opinions.

I've listened to the interview which Radio Bristol Tweeted, and didn't hear any strop - could you point me in the right direction? 

I find that copious amounts of alcohol numbs the pain.

Rossiter played in those games and was fantastic.
He won man of the match in the sheff weds game on Sky if I remember right too ?
I’m not saying we’re a one man team but you’ve got to have players in that midfield that are good enough and in form.
Last season we had coutts and Finley there post Christmas along with Evans in a more advanced role who were good enough for league 2 and in form.
Rossiter aside and Finley in the odd game here and there this season none of our midfielders have looked up to the standard of league 1 football unfortunately.
I can understand why he dropped Coutts today as he’s been poor lately and also apparently was ill last night but I think it was a massive mistake to play a midfield of just 3 of Mc C , Evans and Ward today as two of those have been out of form and the other has only just arrived.
Who goes with a three striker formation away from home after four straight defeats ?
He could have gone with a back four then a midfield of 5 with Sinclair on the right looking to wip in crosses , Collins on the left looking to cut inside and run at them etc it would have been much more solid and given us a base to start from and maybe even a clean sheet to build from.
Bogarde looks a decent young defensive midfielder who could have sat deeper in that 5 to give us balance.
I looked at the team sheet today and honestly couldn’t see us getting anything from that game and I’m starting to think Barton has lost the plot tactically.
Last season I was pulling my hair out for the first few months it was pretty obvious that the players we had suited a 4231 formation and it took him forever to find it, ok he got there and goes down as a hero fair enough at least he worked it out.
So far this season it’s chop and change again without any kind of consistency or real identity regarding our style and that combined with slating the players in the media and dropping our keeper for a loan has really seemed to upset the Apple cart.
If he goes with three strikers Ipswich I can see us getting smashed to pieces the way they play- quick counter through ball passing.
Time to go back to basics JB.
