It won't be open fully until the facilities are finished and the 2 test events have happened. Could be ages yet. The ‘test events’ will be matchdays where the attendance is gradually increased. Pretty sure Test Events cannot be for paying customers.

Could have easily been organised months ago. It's like people saying "well it's hard to sort the issues out with a kit mid-season" with the Black Arab kit. They had a 140 years with that one!

My understanding is once building work is completed. The council will sign it off. Then the club will apply for a safety licence based on the agreed capacity. This could be the full capacity. The club would then run ' test events ' based on the agreed capacity.
I'm not sure were this incremental number came from. The council and the club could agree that the ' entire ' south stand could open for these experiments. The question is when will the building work finish ?. When will it be signed off ?. When will the powers agree the new capacity ?. When will the test events start ?.
But once above agreed I expect the vast majority of the south stand to be open not as suggested in portions. In fact the club could ask the council for the entire capacity 12000 plus and run ' test events ' like other clubs do.

It should be easy to organise a training session with the public invited to watch from the new stand.

It should be easy to organise a training session with the public invited to watch from the new stand. Now go wash your mouth out, sit in the corner and think about what you've done. Sensible ideas are not wanted here

Why do we need a test event? Can't remember Tottenham having a test event for their new Stadium. Or Arsenal. I don't get it. What's it supposed to achieve?

Has anyone from the club stated we need to do test events? Feels like a GasChat fact. Also, no way are 3000 people turning up to watch training at the mem!

I understand that the electrical works are currently taking place which includes power for facilities under the stand, floodlights on the South stand to remove the shadow on the pitch and prep for the new East stand (I understand the costs of the electrical work is in excess of £200k)

Spurs had 2 test events with increasing capacity Ok, my mistake. Still don't quite know why we need it for 1 stand but there we go. Think it's fairly standard procedure. Test events just seem to iron out minor issues. Would have hoped 1 event with it full and a fire drill would suffice

Has anyone from the club stated we need to do test events? Feels like a GasChat fact. Also, no way are 3000 people turning up to watch training at the mem! Apologies, I take this back. "As explained in the previous update we will need to obtain building control sign-off before we can commence any test events. We will provide a timeline for the test events as soon as we can confirm all the elements are in place."

The way matters are now slowly progressing you can see the test events being next summer's pre-season friendlies.
