Good, I never liked the attitude of their old chairman John Fry, patronising b*****d. No wonder their fans developed the same attitude. Come on holmes, you’re better than that! It’s a bit like saying any club who had a manager with a criminal record and a questionable record with regard to aggression will only have fans with similar attitudes. Glad we’re not in danger of that! 😉 UTG! Well they certainly find it acceptable 😂😂

Them on the other forum certainly It seems their latest target is TG, not sure what he's done to upset them, you do have to wonder it they really are fans who regularly attend games. Well one of them doesn’t go to games as he lives in America. I see one of them is spouting the Ken masters school of bollox as to why Karim Mardem Bey left as a director. It seems they long for the days of Twerton.

Surely we all want that to happen.

To be clear, I am glad we have Wael but I think he is being let down by those under him hence the massive losses for no visible return.

He may well be, I would think this was down to inexperience or lack of competence rather than sycophants and a malign hand or more on the tiller.

I think we are in a much better place from a people and structure point of view than we were 3 years ago. TG and the footballing staff had a relegation to contend with which fell under the watch of Starnes, Tommy and their appointments which, if JB is to believed, was steeped in in professionalism and a lack of quality. We have technically had to rebuild after that and in that phase we have been promoted back to L1 after the disaster of Garner and Tisdale. Been a bit of a flat season this year but if we get the recruitment right in the summer we could have a crack at the play offs.

I am bound to disagree with you there as I despise having Barton anywhere near our club and I recall you once having the same opinion but we all have opinions which we are entitled to change. Tisdale had already called out Tommy W and was attempting to replace him, Barton continued the execution. I said that Tisdale was coming to the wrong club for him and luckily for him he has made a vast amount of money outside of the game so he was able to take the risk. I hope he backs away from football and enjoys the spoils that he has gained. We need to start blooding some of our own youngsters. I think our academy is poor but that can improved once they are entwined with the first team at the Quarters. I'm not in Bristol so not sure how the development is coming along. If it has stalled then I hope Wael diverts some of the funding currently going down a hole into getting that development completed so we can reap the rewards that comes with having a strong academy in the lower leagues.

A few years back TG and Wael told me that the aim was for the club to break even. At the time debts were heading towards 18 million. Covid came along and that aim was blown out of the water. Relegation would have lost the club additional money, playing in league 2 brings in less advertising and money from the EFL on Top of that attendances were lower last season,so not surprising we lost so much money, especially as Wael said we had a league 1 playing budget last year. Hopefully debts for this season will be lower with record season ticket sells, higher average gates and more income from advertising and other revenue. Although I don't know if TG will ever reach his goal. Shame improvements planned this summer weren't done a while back, as we have lost allot of income due to our lower capacity In recent seasons.

I don't like Barton as a person, I don't like his morals or etiquette for trouble and I wouldn't have personally appointed him. That said, he's got our house in order on the footballing front and from that side of things, was probably the right man for the job as there wasnt much better available at the time. We missed the boat on Ian Evatt and Micheal Duff who were my first picks, but we were only in the market for free agents. I've never clapped Barton or celebrated him, but I wouldn't be so rude as to not thank him for his efforts. He clearly cares about the job he does here.

Do you think he went for the vacant Rotherham job last September?

I've no idea, I'd be surprised as Rotherham had their eyes only on Matt Taylor and approached Exeter pretty much as soon as Warne left. Warne left 28 Sept and Taylor appointed 4 October so that would suggest to me they didn't invite applicants.

and not pay to get in the ground was a right for some of them. Who never paid to get into the ground? When the previous set up were in charge there were a group of well known Gasheads who didn't pay yo watch and had tickets put back for them for away games when all ticket. Not naming names but I know who they are who got them tickets as at the time it peed me off when I couldn't get tickets to away games as I didn't live in Bristol and it wasn't as easy to get tickets as it is now.

Not true, Rotherham had been turned down by at least one other applicant, Mark Bonner of Cambridge was one, before they offered the job to Matt Taylor on the 30th of September. Warne was announced in the press as Derby's manager on the 22nd of September.

It dosent happen anymore as the people inside the club that were holding the tickets are no longer there, they got removed and a few were not happy I remember when one lost there job there was uproar on here. I would imagine some who were getting upset may have been part of the group but I don't know there usernames on here. I believe all that has stopped now we have a ticketing system in place thank god which means it's fair for everyone to have a chance of a ticket to away games/cup matches.
