For those interested out of the top 7 teams in National League South the order is…. 1st Yeovil 2nd Taunton Town 3rd Bath City 4th Maidstone 5th Worthing 6th Aveley 7th Torquay Perhaps it’s going to be a local promotion battle. Yeovil starting their comeback, Taunton massively over achieving and Bath having a good season so far. Torquay with some work to do. I’m more interested in second place and third in ligue 1 in France 🇫🇷 2. Nice 3. Brest If you're interest is in these two, I guess your not a Nancy boy.

We are a really young team at Keynsham. Average age for this game was 18. I agree really good evening of football. Yeovil had mostly there youngsters as well will a couple of first teamers as you said. They played with their first team second choice keeper from the off, and had some experienced heads in there. Our CB and LW have since joined YTFC on a dual reg ( both a couple of our eldest players). Over half the team are only 17. Great result shame to go out on Pens, ( Had to get it in, but at least my lad scored, and stuck his Pen away. That would have been an even more difficult drive home). Great football from a really young team, making their way back up the table. Come back and watch again. All our team games are under Keynsham Town FC on twitter. I think total attendance was well over 200 that night. Congratulations to your lad for putting his penalty away! The LW stood out as he was rapid, I thought the RW was excellent too. A great showing from such a young team. My mate lives in Keynsham and we both said we'd happily pop down again when Rovers aren't on! RW released by Rovers after scholarship last year, CB released after Scholarship by City 2 or 3 years ago now. 2 or 3 released by Rovers including my lad and a couple released by City all in the team. I think it’s great that these boys are being chucked into the mens game at Step 5/6 and in YTFC case step 4. Not one of them is a bench warmer either they get 90mins week in week out. Nothing wrong with the academy system in my opinion, but I do think it’s a massive wake up call when you play the mens game at At 17 / 18 (We’ve also got a 16 year old). Fair play to the boys to keep putting the effort in.

Can’t knock the support at this level! Weston home to Torquay Tuesday evening, Torquay have sold 850 tickets, I’m sure they never had that many at The Mem.

There isn't the same level of skill on display, however, I do find non league football to be more honest and played in the right spirit. Also, most clubs have a very good community/family atmosphere and are welcoming.

I agree Tilly, I enjoy my trips to see Weston, as you say good friendly atmosphere, plenty of endeavour and effort and a thoroughly decent match experience. During their last stint in National League South a 500+ crowd as unusual, this season averaging over 1000, good to see the town getting behind the club and turning up in good numbers.

Yeovil had a record attendance for National League South Tuesday evening 6829 - looks like since the takeover their fans are returning. Weston had over 2300 and just under 1600 at Bath City. West Country football doing well

The Original Somerset Derby taking place at Twerton tonight. A complete sell out, not sure what the capacity is these days but fair play to both sets of fans.

Luke Russe and Danny Greenslade playing for Bath. I remember some fans calling for them and the likes of Hargreaves, Walker, Tomlinson and Mehew to be getting runs of games in our first team - goes to show they were never good enough as surely at least one would have come back into the EFL !!

www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67932973Poor Taunton Town. After being top of the NLS in September they’ve been on a poor run and are now just above the bottom 4. Lost a couple of players at the start of this window to Yeovil and now they’ve just lost 6 players in a week! They’ve hit the glass ceiling although they’ve lots of matches in hand because their ground is prone to water logging when it rains. Such a shame for a club who have slowly risen up the pyramid without the help of a rich benefactor. Good luck to them for the rest of the season I hope they survive but having their best players leave won’t help. UTG!

Sorry but no sympathy for Taunton as they pool many of their support from the dark side...

Debatable IMHO, they showed up well in previous pre season games and didn't look out of place, could be argued that if you are playing with better players then you will also look better and be able to play better, as i said all a matter of opinions, just a shame none of our youngsters seem to get a chance , the exception was Hoole who strangely enough i did not pick out as one to make it! just goes to show!
