If Torquay pull off their great escape it looks likely to be Widdrington's Aldershot who are relegated, his former club, Kings Lynn, are on a similar winning run to Torquay's since he jumped ship!!

I like Scunthorpe, what I would call a "proper" football club. I thought they conducted themselves very well at the final game last season, and hope that they are able to re-group and start moving upwards.

It seems the white knight new owner has turned out to be a fraud after all. It wasn’t long ago the fanbase were turning up 5/6k strong in celebration at the takeover.

Been following this Scunny story.The ex jailbird owner has apparently changed his name by deed poll on at least 3 occasions! Total shyte show and looks like a Phoenix club situation may be the result of this complete conman’s work.

Yes, i've also been reading about this and the new owners position. Given that the new owner didn't get the ground (I believe) i'm not sure what he has gained for all the time and no doubt some expense. Ideas ?

Remember playing there when they were a difficult L1 club to face and also them being in the championship. Only outcome I can see is folding and a new club emerging.

When you read stories like this and the demise of former league clubs , I always think back to the Mansell penalty at Wembley . Just imagine what might have happened to the Gas if we hadn’t got promoted that season. I dread to think.
