One year on from that epic day & we make a return to Beirut, sorry Berslem. Lofty 90+2 still fresh in the memory & never to be forgotten, the ‘limbs’ and scenes in our end were CRAZY!
Won’t be there today, partaking in a few beverages with some Gas mates and Ifollow instead, but I’m confident of yet another victory on the road.
Have a feeling their atmosphere will be boisterous enough but soon turn toxic (towards the board) after we take the lead.
This is either the day they secure L1 football or we do another job on them, results go against and they’re pulled right into the scrap.

Was certain of a win pre DC sacking now I think they’ll be bang up for this.
Keep them quiet first 30 then our class and deep bench should be enough.
Gotta be another Marshy up there. 1-3 (Collins brace and Evans)

Tougher game now for sure…
Expecting a scrap … maybe 1-1 or 2-2 . Red Card and a penalty worth 50p with Sky bet.
Clumsy Quansah could get rinsed by the sneaky snake today.
Hoping we go more solid with four at the back.

Can’t quite decide on the main striker. Coburn I like but when did he last score? Will he be here next season?
Loft for me is not the answer unfortunately, I’ve tried to warm to him and there have been moments, but his control and general awareness means he is League 2 at best
Much work to do in the transfer window over the summer, but overall the squad has performed well
A few tweaks and improvements and we should be ok

Same as last year - 3-1 Gas. Loft with injury time third again.
Usually fear the ‘bounce’ after sacking a manager, but this feels different as DC was popular and only recently signed a 5-years contract. So agree with previous post that te atmosphere could turn toxic if things go against them. We’ll be relaxed, up for it and are playing well at the moment. We’ll also be going for a win and won’t care about defending a point if drawing. They will be nervous, especially as this looks like their best chance of 3 points from their remaining games.

I still think Quansah should be left out as I would rather play Connelly who is our player to get the experience. Rather than play Quansah just to keep Liverpool happy |

I think this will be tough today, they’ll be looking to get something from it. They need to get something in fact. I wouldn’t be playing Quansah today, like I said in the sheff weds thread we’re developing someone’s else’s player for their benefit and I haven’t been that impressed with him, equally though Beefy hasn’t had the best of seasons either, but I would play him over Quansah. If it’s a back 5 I’d be putting gibbons in Quansahs place. If it a back 4 then keep it as the last few games because they’ve been doing alright. It’s a wide pitch here isn’t it? So I’d go with Collins and Sinclair in the wings with either loft or coburn up top.

Let loose the Sinclair......he should have a field day today as the pitch lends itself to wide players.
Their defence is a mash.
If we can do a professional job today, it will greatly reward the traveling army, fair play to us for covering such distances, and quickly put Tuesday result behind us.
