I think Collins will have to be sold to get the funds to push us forward, also Collins has aspirations of playing for Wales which if he moves to the championship and does well he'll get the call up. If he's does go then sooner the better imo After his lack of goals over the last couple of months I don't think we will get anything near what we were valuing him at back in January. If he does go I think it'll be to one of the top league one clubs. Someone like Peterborough (if they don't go up). One million maximum. It’ll be at least double that. |

Defensive coach or coaches Our stats, especially from set pieces are shocking. Needs to be sorted, it’s not just players it must be coaching. Since bond left it has got much worse Just an opinion but we seem to have quantity over quality in the coaching set up. The other week I counted double figures on the pitch pre-match and that didn’t include Barton. Do we need that many? Surely a couple of fitness guys and then a few specialist coaches plus manager and assistant required? Defence definitely an area which needs specialist coaching - I wonder if bringing in an older head as player coach would work, somebody like a Jagielka type (but not necessarily him) who would provide useful emergency back up in an injury crisis? |

If he's does go then sooner the better imo “Have to be sold”? Surely that will depend on somebody making a suitable offer. I’d tell him and his agent that we won’t stand in his way if a decent offer comes in (would need to be £2m - £2.5m) but it would have to be resolved by a fixed date as we can be left in limbo late in the transfer window. Hopefully then get £500k of the fee to break our transfer record on a replacement? |

If Azza leave then I would hope we would get a few million. In todays world players going for obscene amounts, he must be worth 5 million. Championship clubs have sort of money and that's what striker's are worth.
There aren't many striker's about that have equally as impressive assist stats.
We can't keep letting players go cheaply.
I would keep him personally...
If Joey and Wael want us in the championship, we will need spend and hopefully bring players in early.
We really need players all over the pitch, Joey will be busy.

I’ve not got a huge knowledge of the players in league 1, 2 and Conference so although it seems a bit narrow thinking there are a few players I’d like to see come back here in the summer and think they are realistic,
Jamal Blackman on a free.
Connor Taylor - maybe available for a fee within our range.
Gibson on a permanent free.
Luke Thomas on a free.
Coburn another season loan.
On top of that a fully fit Grant to compete for LB and cover defensive mid plus a recovered Rossiter would seem like new signings. I’m not convinced we’ll get a sufficient offer for Collins so hope he’ll be leading the line for us again next season.

Haven't we got Byron Anthony? He’s not in the first team set up - he’s head of the academy which is completely different to coaching Thanks for the clarification. Always though Academy Head organised coaching of the academy players. Didn't realise you had to be in the first team before you got coached. Explains the defensive record I suppose? |

He was keen to stay in the south west after his personal problems, enjoyed his time with us and I think I read his contract with Barnsley is coming to end end. Personally, I think he’s got tons of ability and a lot to offer at league one level. |

One things for sure, other clubs know that we are a soft touch and normally except the first bid for our best players. Therefore, if anyone puts in a bid for AC, the initial one will be very low. Then the player finds out and makes it clear they want to leave. |

The bit about JB going for the Championship next season was from yesterday's game, the rest just seems rumours from Sam Frost etc, the bit about Anderson is clearly wrong as JB's now confirmed he hasn't been offered a new contract As far as coaches go JB seems to be offering everybody a job, Whelan & Coutts seem certainties, Jaakola is a possible and Anderton potentially one once he recovers, assuming he wants such a role. Plus there's already Manger & Vinter plus the two Shorts looking at player stats and the Mahoney's. We seem to be heading for a Championship coaching set up, numbers wise, whilst trying to survive on a mid table L1 crowds. |
